So I have a customer who wants me to apply Zaino after I polish his GT3. I have never used or been around Zaino before so I was wondering if there is anything different about applying it that any other wax or sealant? Can I just apply it via foam applicator? does it need to cure before removing it for an amount of time?

I know I ain't right 4 this but this is what I do.....

Poor some of that stuff in the Garbage Can,make a mess of the lid....Then use the products that you know are tried and true :headbang:

I can admit to this now, back in the day I use to have ppl give me all kinda New Age Crap to put on there cars....Today, that NEVER happens...:hmph:

Everytime I would finish the customer would always say > "See I told you this stuff was the Bomb" all the while not having a clue there stuff was in my Garbage Can :giggle:

Which products specifically from Zaino are you going to be using. But in general, it is the same as applying any other sealant. If you dont use there catalyst with the proper sealant then you will have to wait I think 24 hrs before you do the next layer of sealant. If you use the catalyst then I think the cure time is something like 30 min, you can do 3 layers 30 min apart then have to wait 24 hrs if you want to do more than 3 layers.

If you post up the exact products you plan on using I can try and give you some better information if needed. But thin layers via a foam applicator are a must with any Zaino product.

I prefer using Zaino's cotton applicators.

Apply it SUPER thin and you will have no issues. Also make sure you have removed any oils or old wax from the finish before you start or that could give you issues like streaking or make it hard to remove. Your best bet is a strong Dawn wash.

I like to use ZFX and apply 2 coats one after another. Sometimes I will use Z-AIO first.

agpatel, I 'll be polishing with Menzerna, then wiping down with Menzerna Top Inspection to remove all polishing oils. Then applying Z-2 for protection via Orbital. My main question is how long do I need to let the sealant cure before I remove it? I'll only do one coat.

Once you apply Z-2 let it haze up, which should take around 15-20 min. By the time I have gone around the car, gotten a drink and put away a few things is around 30-40 min so I just take it off then. So I would let it sit for about 15-20 and take it off and you will be good to go.
