I like #2 but that one is only 50 inches and the other one is 60 inches= 5 feet. how tall are you? Is that going to make a difference of you having to lean over all the time...
I'm sure I'd love it to. I just don't see the need for me to spend 70-80+ on a tripod where as my point and shoot is probably worth just under that. I just want to get a cheap tripod, that will work and hopefully last. I know those you listed would be considered cheap as well, but in a different sense. I just need something to work and last. Doesn't have to be a name brand. So if you guys could help make the decision between the velbon and the vista explorer that would be awesome. Brendan
I'm an astonishing 5'5. I'm hopefully still growing but I don't mind having to lean over... edit: didn't really think about it before, but the extra 10inches, I guess that would help in getting a different angle of the car or whatever I'm shooting. Thats an important factor. Now I'm leaning more towards the Vista...
If you are looking at Amazon, what about these very highly rated model: Sunpak 620-060 6601UT Tripod with Extra Quick-Release Mounting Plate Slik Tripod with 3-Way Panhead Slik Compact XL Tripod w/Pan Head - Black #611465B But for $80 US you can actually get into a Bogen Bogen - Manfrotto 715B Digi-Tripod with Ball Head & Case and one on ebay.ca
I like the first one that you listed. The reviews sound promising as well. I am definitely considering that. The Sunpak and Vista are about the same height so it's more or less down to these two. I think I'm partial to the sunpak now because of the price tag as well. $10 cheaper is awesome as well... I really appreciate you guys taking the time to explain this stuff to a photography noob. Thanks a bunch:mounty:
As much as I'd like to get one, it just isn't practical for me. I'm going to order the Sunpak one as it seems to be in my price range and the reviews are excellent.
