I am getting a bottle of Nanolex NanoWax while I am in Germany and thought i ask for thoughts on it? What is the best application method and what are people getting in terms of durability and are you topping it? I know its not as popular in the states but throw it out there for those of you who have used it.
I have been wanting to try the Nanolex products for a while now. I have been tempted to purchase some through some relatives in the UK and have them shipped it to me here to get around the export thing. Phil @ DD said once that they are looking into carrying this product line so hopefully it wil be easier to get our hands on some in the near future. The pictures of cars with Nanowax on the DW forum look fantastic. It doesn't look like you shoould top it with anything other than the nano coatings. I was thinking that a detail using the Nanowax as the 1-stepper with it's layer of sealant (6 mos.) and then a layer of the Nanolex Spray sealant (6 mos.) or a layer of Nanolex Premium Paint Sealant (18 mos.) would be a good combo. I wonder what the durablility ends up being when the Nanowax is topped with either sealant. I've been trying to upsell these new nano coatings. Been offering the Optimum Opti-Coat and Wolf's Body Wrap as premiums. These Nanolex products should fit in gap between the 3-5 yrs durability the Opti-Coat provides and the 8-14 month durability that Body Wrap provides. I have found that the Aquartz is too expensive of a material cost per car to use at $99 for the red/black bottle combo.
