My X-mas gift and my wifes gift.

Well I purchased my wife a camcorder :thumb: that is her Christmas gift, now I've been comparing camcorders for a wile now and as some of may know I'm a big Sony fan and well after lots of research I found this one to be the best camcorder out in the market..well for what I'll be using it for. You know filming home events, piano residols, church events..ect..ect..oh and some vehicle detailing :whistle: but enough chit chat time for some pictures :chest:

Oh and the wife purchased a little something for me too :thumb:




This is the wife's gift :headbang:














Now this thing has wicked features but what I love the most is it's high picture quality, leaves the Sony camcorder I was looking at eating it's dust...oh and about $200 cheaper too :thumb:






Now this is my gift, yup :nod: Cannon XTi Rebel


Wife purchased a package that came with both lenses...how did she know :whistle:




This is the second lense it came with too




UV filters something about protecting the lense sounds like a good idea to me


Oh and bag to cary both the camcorder and my new cameral


Oh cant forget the memory card :thumb:

Well I'm pleased with my gift and wife is very pleased with her gift...now you guys may understand why I've been asking so many question about taking pictures :hippie:

Hopefully picture quality will improve so no more excuses "I couldn't get a picture of the imperfections on the vehicle" lol. Well just thought I'd share that's all.

I'm loving it already :wicked: but I got lots to learn hense all the questions I've been asking lol...but the way I see it I got my entire life to perfect the skills and with your help I'm sure I'll learn a trick or two :chest:

Thanks guys, man both new toys are sweet...lots to read though and lots to learn...the Rebel is sweet has lots of nice features...features that hopefully I'll get to play with during my holidays..as for the camcorder it's an incredable unit...such a sharp image just wicked :wicked:

Carlos, congrats! I am excited for you, you got a great selection of camera equipmen to start off with! The XTi is EXCELLENT and with an extra lens and some filters, bag, etc. you have a solid foundation to start a new hobby! Just be careful: it's just as addictive as detailing but a whole lot more expensive, hah!

P1et - Yes, my wife ended up getting a really nice package for the Rebel. Man it's a gorgeous camera some wicked features...I spent a few hours going through the manual and other tutorials and I can't wait to get my feet wet on it's features...also with the tips that you and Scott are providing I'm sure I'll improve my pictures. Lots to learn though, lots....but no biggie I got the rest of my self to perfect my picture taing skills and with friends like you guys to help me alon the way what more can I ask for :hug:

I can't wait to build up some skills on the camera, no more blurry pictures or out of focus pictures just nice crisp pictures :woo: :woo: jus the thought gets me pumped :chest: :chest:

Oh and yes I can see how this new hoby can get expensive..I'm aleady looking at getting another lense :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead:
