it's a NON detailing purchase for once. something i have been wanting for quite some time now, and today i finally pulled the trigger on it (no pun intended haha) behold: cant wait to get to the range! for those who dont know, its a Glock 26 Sub-Compact. it was basically a birthday present to myself. i had to splurge. just really excited and wanted to show her off. thinking about naming her Vanessa :giggle:
sweet firearm still waiting to pull the trigger on my Sig p220 equinox =/ .. cant justify spending that much money on a gun .. but i dont like anything else
Would this have a similar kick to a 22? I'm not all that familiar with guns but I have been to the range once. Eventually I'd like to own a few myself, hehe.
.22 has a kick?! : I think I preferred the Baretta I shot over the Glock. Can't remember which models I shot though. You can get Glocks in 9mm, 10mm and .40, right?
Well I've never shot a .22 and my friend said it doesn't have any kick really but it technically still does. : I totally forgot what gun I was looking at to start with... it's going to drive me crazy trying to figure it out, haha.
Oh man, if you want to shoot something with a kick, try a Desert Eagle .50. :yikes: That thing is a handheld cannon.
thanks! i almost picked up a used springfield XD siubcompact in .40, but i had my heart set on a glock. i was almost dead set on getting the glock 27 subcompact, which is a .40, but the Army Ranger vet ot 17 years who worked there talked me into the 9mm.
kinda similar. .22 is like shooting a pellet gun or an airsoft gun. 9mm is a little more powerful and is nice because the recoil in "linear", which means it goes straight back in line with the firearm, instead of kicking up towards your face. the result: better accuracy and target acquisition while firing multiple rounds. glocks come in a variety of calibers: 9mm, .380(i think), .357, .40, .45, and 10mm. i like berrettas, but IMO you cant go wrong with a glock. IMO SIG Sauer and H&K are the #1 and #2 of hand guns right now, and Glock follows up at a close third. you can never clean it and it'll always shoot. you can bury it in sand and it'll shoot, it's 99.9% reliable. they're just.......sweet!:headbang: when it comes down to it though, it all depends on how that particular firearm feels and fits in YOUR hand.
those are very nice indeed, but like you said, mucho money, it would be worth it though. you'd probably have it for a lonnnnng time.
I used to be a gun fan, but nothing beats a pair of good ole' skool' Nunchucks for pumping up the testosterone nowadays... :bat::deadhorse:
