well im stuck on hold with visa. someone has taken my CC number and started spenking like ma. Everything was fro the past week..... what a pain in the ass

its a paint, i have doen charge backs whciih have been hassel enough, but now i need to talk to the departmet that deals with the police. and blah bla blah.....ARG i wish i had my partents CC, they called asking about suspisous charges, my parents said nope they didnt make them... cc cancled, money returend within a day (sunday) and a new card sent to them by tuesday
what kind of card did your parents have, thats good to know that some companys are on top of that stuff
my parents have a visa gold... it was great for them just go off the phone, 2 weeks for a new card and 6-10 weeks for this to be sorted out.... what a hassel
welit was stollen wensday, i noticed my avil. credit was goign down. then the trasnacions got posted today so i thought I would check it out. I check my statement online about 5 times aday.. im anal about my money... guees it paid off this time
nope, but they did look at what I have orderd in teh past (somehow) and orderd cigars... the best part is its froma palce I have never hearf of.... and for 30 bucks.. no way in hell i would only spend 30 if i was shipping soething across the border... not worth the hassel for 30bucks in cigars.....ohh well guess it will all be sorted out soon enough
haha yeah right... call me crazy but i dont want to be charged with fraud... not not worth it for a few hundred worth of product :hippie:
Sorry to hear about this. I have had this issue once in the past with AMEX, one call and everything was taken care of. New card in 2 days.
So sorry to hear that. But at least it was not your debit card.:thumb: Someone could have cleaned out your checking account. :thud: Don't worry you are protected by VISA or Master Card. You will have to fill out an affidavit swearing you didn't make the purchases, then you will get a credit to your account. Most credit card companies have a fraud division that looks for unusual spending patterns. It is important that your credit card company have a good phone number to contact you. If they see something that is odd they will call you! Hang in there it will be cleared up soon!
Oh darn you got me hahaha just teasing. Wednesday you say hmmm...that's interesting. I agree with Tonya it shouldn't be a problem, Credit Card company are quite easy to deal with. Heck when it happend to me..mind you mine didn't get stolen just someone got my numbers my credit card company took care of it that same day new card within 2 to 3 days and all was back to normal, no sure why your havin a problem there Calgary? If anythin I quite enjoyed the experiance...nice new shiny credit car :cheerl:

Mike..maybe one of the cigar sites you bought from is not as secure as you thought..and your CC was Phished from it...I have gone to sites to order and had seen some one else name in the spaces to fill in..even a CC number..so I never ordered from there... Al
i wonder this as well, howeve ri only order from one site, have been doing it for 6 or so months wih no prob. so i dunno..... I have talked to a few people in town, alot of them have had the same problem. Im wondering if there is some sort of fraud ring happening in calagry, alot of money flows here its a great city to target.. unforunntly
Man sorry to hear about that Mike...those darn people! I'm always looking out if a web site is safe to shop in or not, so I keep checking and checking for security and what not... I hope you get it dealt with even sooner
