I'm supposed to be detailing my 1st m/c this year for my Dad. He has a bike jack, so i'll have to have him put it on there for me.

Nice work, would've been interested in seeing some 'befores'.

I've been detailing my bikes for as long as I've been doing my cars. No difference in methods or products except there's a lot more tight spaces and knuckle-scrapers. There's a few motorcycle-specific products like S-100 Engine Brightener that darkens up the black portions of the engine. I use it under the hood of the car in tight spots as the sprayer is extremely aimable.

Here's the one place you've gotta be *REAL* careful. If someone put something on my seat, footpegs or grips I'd go ballistic! A sure grip without slippage might the only thing between a nonevent and disaster in an emergency situation when someone pulls out in front of you..... which only happens 2 or 3 times a day or so. You've got to ride like everybody on 4 or more wheels is out to kill you because a lot of 'em are because they don't see you, they just don't look. You've gotta remember, in the rain everything you're touching is wet and what's not slippery when dry just might be greasy as hell when wet. And although a lot of riders avoid the rain it happens. Some of us would rather be in the rain on 2-wheels than in the sunshine on 4.

I clean and scrub rubber and plastic pedals, grips and seats but never dress 'em. Ever. I really don't care if they could look better, I want a sure grip and absolutely zero chance of slippage if I've got to make a panic-stop or swerve to avoid a soccer-Mom with a cell phone glued to her ear.

I'd suggest excluding dressing grips, footpegs/footboards and seats. Other than that, real nice work and excellent results!
