Nah I was just curious if anyone else could call it out by using it, because if they did They'd recognize it right away
You guys are thinking all basic stuff Scotchbrites vinegar All stuff that's been used before I just used a regular rag water and one other thing what product gets off heavy oxidation and spots Just never thought of using it wet
Most amazing wash ever??? Um... OK. I don't get it with all of the sensationalizing here lately. This place is starting to turn into an infommercial. Best wash EVER!!! Devastated (insert vehicke of choice here) What will be next? Nuclear Bomb hit this car and I was able to save it with Turtle Wash Zip Wash & Wax. If you are a professional you will know that it's better to be humble and advertise your work for what it is and not hype it up to be more than that. Take this as solid advice. I'm looking forward to the final pics.
This site isn't a game show, great community here, so include the process or forget posting, even Kevin Brown shares his expertise with all.
Since so many people are whining about it Its polishing compound, Use a rag..one that's not ur favorite cause it's not much good after this scoop it out put it on the rag and wash it just like regular cuts through all the water marks on the car. Make sure to wipe it down with a regular wet rag afterwards to make sure all the residue is gone only downside is it takes your paint back to step one so after you do it you have to completely build back up your finish. You can also use rubbing compound but it causes heavy scratches which you'll have to polish out afterwards.. it does cut more than the polishing compound though if the polishing wont do the trick
Wow tough crowd here. All of the quotes above I don't want to see such posts from you again, there is no need for such posts...if you have nothing nice to say I strongly recommend you say NOTHING!! We are all free to share and not share what we want or don't want to share, if you come across a thread you do not agree with would it kill you to simply move on? Please refrain from posting such negative comments!
Ugh, don't know why I didn't see this before. My post was intended to be sarcastic. Guess you got offended by it or something. Here's an idea: Get a sarcasm emoticon or something, so we don't have this misunderstanding again! :thumb:
So you polished the car by hand. Thus you didn't use a "wash" to restore the finish. You polished it. Title is misleading to say the least.
Sarcastic hmmm...well being sarcastic face to face is one thing, being sarcastic on a forum is completely different so it's up to each member to conduct them selves appropriately, we are all accountable for our actions good or bad. If your joking I strongly suggest you literally spell it out otherwise it's only going to lead to misunderstandings.
Carlos, what was wrong with Gemini13 post? He was just stating a fact. Are stating facts not allowed on your forum?
Sorry Carlos, I mis-read your post and thought Gemini13 post was included in the posts that you didn't appreciate. I didn't see anything wrong with his post and thought you were lecturing him for his post. Again, I apologize for my error.
i could not agree more. but starting post with "what follows is SARCASM," takes away from sarcasm itself. but whatever. if this forum needs to stay dry, so be it. my apologies. your forum, your rules. but i will say, get a frickin little smiley holding up a sarcasm sign or something. it would alleviate a lot of your having to step in to clarify.
There's somewhat of a forum culture that shows a type of joking mentality, and it helps when you know someone as well. I knew the comment was joking before I even read all of it. Obviously we could spell things out for people a little bit better, but to get rid of all the jokes etc. would be to get rid of the community sense we've worked at.
No actually I washed that side of it using a rag and polishing compound but it was wet and i just substituted the carwash soap for polish, It works great
I for one would really like to see more of this Finback restoration. If you have the time, please post up progress details along the way. Finbacks have a genuine following in the MBCA and to see one brought back to life is inspiring!
