ok thanks. yeah im in the same boat. i havent had much time to play lately. is it me or are all the different little settings and menus for the actual online game play kind of confusing? like i understand you can configure different weapon and gear packages, but all the special kill streak options and rankings and whatnot confuse me.
No way that's the coolest thing, COD 4 had nothing like this, this new game is wicked...it will take a bit for you to get used to, once you get the hang of it you'll be fine. When I first played COD 4 it took me a week or two to get used to all the options.
dont get me wrong, i think its a really nice feature having all those options, but im just not used to it yet, and it bothers me thinking to myself that i could have my stuff setup better or something and i wouldnt even know it. like all the little options you can pick like for faster reloading, the tactical insertion option, the stopping power option etc etc. i just feel like i might not have my setups put together with the best options possible for efficient killing.
I agree, you need to start setting up your own personal set up, I can't remember what I have set up but I have one for sniper mode, one for shotgun, machine gun, rocket launcher..ect...ect. Some times instead of playing I just spend about 10min or so setting it all up and as I obtain other features I fool around with them, I'm still learning the maps, I get killed easily though so I've got a long way to go still, my weakness is the vision thing, the one persons perspective kills me that and my reaction time is slow oh and not to mention my aiming lol...basically I'm a noob  But I still get a kick out of this game, love the graphics, just playing wicked :worship2:
Hit me up guys, i'm on PS3 and holding it down at that. Bout to break 100,000 on the Score & Kill leaderboards, figure if I keep this up I might break 10K, my PSN ID is kaiten408, add me! We'll get up on some domination
BTW for a wicked combo, try getting any assault rifle with the grenade launcher attachment and pick the Scavenger perk and the Danger Close perk and you've got unlimited noob tubing
cool ill add you in a little bit. just warning you now, i kinda suck at this point though. i just havent gotten the layout of most of the maps yet, so im usually dead meat. i was good at counter strike and whatnot, so i figure once i get used to everything i'll be fine. the only map i really know as of now is the airport one.
I hear ya blooshoes, when I first started playing I was getting worked...hard, but that's because I didn't know the maps. Now I do, and I've got my swagger on with the ACR and under barrel shotty.....
yeah not knowing the maps is really pissing me off. bad. i guess ill just keep at it. it was cool playing with you a little earlier. i was following you around for a while in the one map in case you didnt notice, as i obviously didnt know my way around. which gun is the ACR? i dont have that option yet. im only like level 14 i think.
So I just got 360 for Christmas and my first purchase was COD......simply amazing I can't get enough of this game. Setting up my online gaming tonight and I am stoked for it.
This game sucks big time. I have been playing on-line multiplayer since UT days and the PC players made Call Of Duty what it is. So now in MW2 they port over a console game to PC? That's a bunch of crap. There are no private servers for MW2. There are no custom maps for MW2. There are no mods for MW2. My clan mates and I could not play together unless one of us hosts the game which then means that the host has ZERO ping. Tops people playing is like 8 on 8....gee that's real fun spending half the map running around looking for someone to frag. We're used to playing with 20 to 30 or more players at times. So for PC this game sucks and I refuse to buy it, as does most of my clan mates. We stick with COD4, zombies on COD5 and still have an active modded COD2 server running. I do recommend Borderlands and Dead Space though....both games are top notch, and I do buy and play a lot of PC games. Anthony
huh interesting, I'm not a big PC player, never really tried it...but interesting points, I've never been part of a clan my self so really have no clue what the benefits are....sounds like your quite the hard core player if you ask me :thumb:
Im addicted to the 3rd person mode. If anyone wants to play. My PSN is the same username as here. Silenced ACR Stinger Scavenger Pro Cold Blooded Pro Commando Pro or my favorite to annoy people with ACR or Scar w/noob tube AT4 C4 Scavenger Pro Danger Close Pro Commando Pro Its actually pretty good for objective based games. I like throwing the C4 on a domination point than going off wherever. Once I hear "We're losing A/B/C!" double tap square and BOOM...defense points right there.
Anthony, I feel your pain. Like you, I've also been gaming since UT '99 and it sucks to see that game makers just don't care about the pc market anymore. It must be easier and more cost effective to port everything over from console to pc, but in doing so they hurt the game and the pc market. I guess that it might be a smaller niche to them, so they don't care because they know that the console market will make up for any pc loses. Having a dedicated is great!! I miss scrimming with other clans and team practices. Nothing beats being able to explore a map and devolop a match strategy without being shot at by some noob.
It most likely has to do with the constant requirement of having to update system hardware on a PC versus a console. In order to get the best out of your PC system for gaming, you need to have the best out there (which many are led to believe) but with console gaming, you just need to have the new system and not necessarily be constantly updating your hardware. In essence, you're all equal with that but then you still have to deal with latency issues and what not. Another thing to consider is that PC games need to be tested on several different system configurations while console systems simply run on different firmwares but usually it's the most up to date.
