So I went to the hobby shop because my old motor wouldn't start. We speculated that the motor was bad, but they guys gave me some advice. Try reseating the cooling tower to see what happens. Okay cool. In the mean time they showed me a new motor and I said um yeah I'll pick that one up in a day or so.
Got home and tried what they suggested and it worked. Anywho I went back yesterday and picked up the new motor. Now all I need is for the weather to cooperate so I can break the new motor in.
I have plans later this summer to run the truck on an 1/8th mile drag strip. I'm sure there will be a few surprised people that day.:thumb:

Well stock they run about $350. The new motor was just shy of that. I have a lot of money in the truck the way it sits now.
Maybe it's time for me to find a boyfriend...LOL

Wow. The truck has changed a lot in less than a month. I think that means I spent too much money on this toy this month.
I finally go the new motor broken in and it's just a matter of getting fuel through it so that the motor really wakes up. I'm looking forward to this.

It's pretty cool to see something that I build and gave me a ton of headaches finally come together and work like it should.

It'll be time to pick up some more fuel probably Wednesday. I have a few small things to do to the truck, but they're purely cosmetic.

You are sooooooooo cool (I'm not being sarcastic either), women like you and my wife are hard to find. Enjoy the track and don't mind expensive hobby's that take up time and dough. Toy is awesome btw.

 

I'm pretty sure I'll be single for the rest of my life so I've gotta do fun things to keep my mind occupied. Honestly I don't get why some women bitch about the money that their husbands/boyfriends/significant others spend on anything.

Guess I'm just wired wrong.

Now if only I can figure out which wax to use on the Chevy I'll be good to go.

 

I hear you on that! I just dumped $150 into mine to get it going again. New servos, OWB, and a bunch of misc. stuff - Oh and glow plug igniter to get rid of the stupid blue wire. The engine turns over much easier now. Nice work!!

 

Oh man I could have saved you a little bit of money. I've got roughly enough stuff here to build a second truck.
