The 8HP Master Blaster is also at autoanythingdotcom... It absolutely rocks for blowing water off and blowing out dirty interiors, etc...
The warm/hot air comes out really quickly, the hose if bigger than the Vac hose so the volume is greater.
I have both the long canister 4hp vacuum and now the master blaster. Wouldn't trade them for anything.

Is there a huge difference between the Metro air force blaster and the Metro air force commander?

Hmm..looks like the Commander is made for grooming pets, the Blaster is made for drying cars.
    Good question.

I look at the description on AG, $50 difference, single fan and only 3% less output compare to the double fan air force blaster.

so is it worth the extra 50 dollars to get the air force blaster compare to the commander blaster?

Well...if it's that good, but still cheaper, then they probably would have done away with the Blaster.

Think that the extra 4hp motor alone is well worth the extra money. You get 2 4hp motors, more heated air, and as I said before, nothing blows out interiors of vehicles, especially vans, big SUV's, like 8hp..
    But that's just me... :)

Good luck with your research !

Air force commander is 150, Air force blaster is 200, Air force master blaster is 339....
I guess the vac blo has the same power as the air force commander. Dont' really know how powerful these Metro's machine is though.

    Bump with update.

I recently purchased the 4Hp model (Air Force Master Blaster) from Phil; based on the fact that my power supply is 9.5amps. It arrived today, so I haven't had time to try it out on a car. But I did manage to try it and it is very powerful. Far more powerful than an air compressor with blower nossle attachment.

I'm excited to try it out.

Also, it is more consistent w/o having your compressor turn on and off. I like it better than using my 30gal compressor ;)

As a test I did dry after one wash using a MB at 4Hp mode. The LSP was in very good condition (maybe 4 weeks) and was able to dry it. It did not take that much longer but still definitely slower.

Picked up the 8hp one a couple weeks ago and love it on my own car. I did however see some spotting on a car I did the other day, which was after polishing and stripping the oils, so beading was totally gone. Just thought I'd try it once since the car was black and to reduce any chance of instilling towel marring prior to coating. I was using the CR with good resin...only thing I can think of is that the MB blew something out of the cracks that didn't get cleaned well enough during the wash.

Just got back from using it. Worth the money? Absolutely.

My method was to use an Uber Super Drying towel to blot dry the bulk of the water and come back with the Air Force to blow dry the cracks and evaporate the residual water residue.

It doesn't just move water, it evaporates it.

If Metro Vac manufactured hand dryers for bathrooms I would actually walk out with dry hands.

One suggestion is to wear earplugs; this sucker gets loud when it reaches crevices.

Chad, I noticed a bit of spotting from a tiny area I didn't wash well enough. Next on my large purchase lists is a de-ionizer.

    I have the original one.

It's pretty crappy; definitely the worst CG product/tool I have ever used.

It's loud (high pitched) and after a few uses it has a rattling sound upon use.

Like I said, the primary differentiating factor of the MetroVac vs other water removal forms is that it is warm air (which evaporates water moisture).
