So i've seen a few people now using a Merino Wool duster either from DD or Chemical Guys for a final step dusting. Before i buy one i wanted to see what people's opinions were of them. For the dust, i'm assuming these are really only useful for after LSP or a final step polish if there isn't too much dust on the car. But can these be used during a compounding stage or polish stage to help remove some dust from the car during the process? In addition since they're are of a very clingy nature, how many times can you use one before it has to be retired? I'm guessing they aren't machine washable...
I use mine to remove light surface dust on my mustang it works great and can be used about 3 times before I hand wash it with dawn, rinse and then spin the water out, then let air dry and its ready to use again. Just spin it in your hands to create static and wipe the panel lightly then spin again to release the particles and proceed to the next panel. I also use it after compounding and its great.
