I detailed this very nice 2003 Mercedes s500 with the AMG appearance package and treated it to a full interior cleaning and a thorough wash, clay, and wax until a correction appointment is made this summer (you will see why later). I am kicking myself for forgetting my DSLR at school so I apologize for the cell phone pictures. All in all the car was cared for well by the owners however it sat at the airport uncovered for a month which took its toll on the exterior. I spent the majority of the time cleaning all the crevices from the trim pieces and chrome work and decontaminating as much as I could. After it was washed, it was clayed, glazed, and waxed. Products and Process: -Autosmart Autobody Shampoo -Optimum OPC, various brushes and wash mitts -Meg's APC+ -Clayed with Riccardo Yellow and CG Luber -Dried with CG Miracle Dryer -Quick IPA wipedown -CG EZ creme glaze -Collinite 845 -CG Barebones -Autosmart #9 waterbased dressing on tires -PB's Trim Restorer on cowel -Planet Polish WS+S on the rims Interior: -Vacuumed with a 6hp Shop Vac -OPC on carpets and plastics -XMT360 on the chrome -303 Aerospace on plastics, vinyl, and leather -AG Fast Glass -Wood waxed with P21s 100% Befores: some stubborn grime that stood out on the white paint and made the car look dull. After the wash: The Final After Shots: And the reason why it will be scheduled for a correction detail: I tried my best to get a little extra out of white as I enjoy the challenge of trying harder to make it pop for the owner. As always, thanks for reading!
I was curious about the plate as well, but I never ended up asking the owners. They are now on a regular maintainence schedule with me now so I will have to find out if there is a special meaning behind it. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks Denzil! I can't wait to perform a full correction session on this car, although I did a test area on the front buffer with my rotary and found that I need something more aggressive than Power Finish and a CCS white pad.
Good job on the interior! It wasn't too bad to begin with but you sure did make a difference when done.
Thanks for the comments guys, I really appreciate it! 604_Snooze: I use it at 10:1, water to APC dilution. It really cuts well but not quite as nicely as OPC which I am hesistant to use on paint for now. I will burn through the last of APC+ as I will be using OPC just for how well it works and its versatility, but Megs APC+ is great stuff too.
Good job on a very nice car! Oui is french for yes so maybe it was intended to read yes yes or maybe I'm way off about it. Just my .02.
correct. Good translation is when people say "yeah yeah". I'm not too sure why someone would put that on their plate tho?
looks like regular s500 with amg wheels pretty typical(could be amg package). nice job on white though.
Great job on really nice car. 2 things... The wood on the dash gives me wood. I love it. I cant believe they put 2 piece calipers on a car like that. One piece would make it look so much better.
