Saving me $22, recommending me something $1000, ;) Nice

Can you recommend anything for wheel wells?

Yeah, CG Bare Bones. Hyper Dressing and Opti Bond is nice, but won't last.

If David saves you $22 45 times, you can afford Crystal Rock!

Thats good to know! 90% of my mind said to go with it. I have a good collection of trim and tire dressings: CG Extreme Shine, CG Barebones (as of, when it comes), OPT Opti-Bond, those are in gallons too! 32oz, OPT Opti-Bond, PB Trim Restore, and PB Bold and Bright :)

I finally feel my collection is worth posting!

Have you tried Ultima Tire and Trim Guard? Awesome product.

Anybody who thinks a vendor is giving a partial opinion is crazy. They are not sponsoring the forum for some altruistic reason they want to get PAID!

So its totally valid to ask for a non vendor sponsor opinion ....stop being nut huggers. Yes DD is great, Im sure Phil is the best lets be smart here.

Phil didn't post the link to the product on his site in his post. He didn't say "Oh and btw we're having a sale on it..It's a great product...buy it from me."

So the fact that he is a vendor is pretty irrelevant

Theres plenty of places you can order Powerlock from.

Bold and Brite, Yeah! I love that stuff. After I dress my tires with it I am going to try it on my CornFlakes... Or at least mix some rum with it. Its the dressing version of Glasur...

Seriously, I think it leaves such a "neat and tidy" look to the rubber. My personal fav. Sorry I went off topic topic.

I actually never used it yet. I just have 2 4oz samples, but I heard a little goes a long way, and I'm looking forward to it.

Back on subject or at least close to it:) How much time do I need to give the Power Lock before I can cover it with wax?

    Thank You!

    8-12 hours.

They both leave very similar finishes. IIRC PL was a bit brighter - more of a glass look - but BF was wetter and darker.

I have heard of speculation that both are made by the same company.

I've been reading that more and more lately too. If it's true it would explain why they leave such similar finishes.

Indeed. I really like Powerlock, but after 1-2 washes my car isn't near as smooth as it once was. Is this normal or what?

Its normal with anything. Personally, I think that slickness of MPL is good for 3-4 weeks, but even that is pretty impressive. No wax I own can match that (but maybe my waxes suck :p: ) and other sealants like IW845 aren't as slick to begin with.

Yea, mine didn't even last two weeks so i'm wondering if I didn't put it on properly or using too much soap or what :( I even put a wax over it.
