I've got the older type Menzerna bottles (Intensive Polish and Final Polish II). The ones that look like the container Klasse AIO come in. Is there a difference between the ones I got and the ones that everyone else seems to have.
I got mine 2 years back from topoftheline.

I know Menzerna changed there formula's but they came out with a new line...example 106FF and 106FA. Not sure if the bottle labeling makes a difference, if I remember correctly Menzerna did a different type of label when they were brough over to the US...Detailers Domain can explain a bit more on this though.

Yeah i believe something like that. Because I remember 2 years ago emailing Chris if they would be carrying Menzerna products, But he said something along the lines that they had no interest in a Canadian company. Times have changed :righton: WE SHOWED THEM!:)

the labeling situation at Menzerna is quite funny.

since the oem's only use 3 items at each plant Menzerna Germany feels that they do not need to have different labels for different products. The only indication really of what you have is the part number on the white /black lettered label on the bottom of the bottle.

There is nothing at the bottom of these bottles/jugs, except the recycling logo and a numbr 1067 on both bottles (IP and FPII). And none on the face label as well. OH well, I guess its safe to say that I have the "original" recipe from Menz. woohoo!

I purchased it 2 years ago from topoftheliine from the states. My brother used to live in Wisconsin and he was moving back to Toronto so, I ordered PC7424, IP and FPII, Klasse and pads to his address.
Actually check out this link, they still have the original packaging of Menzerna on their site

you will only really notice the difference btw 106 and 85rd in finishing out flat colors like jet black.

not everyone can see it but some do.

Well, I'm new to this board and I see right away that this is a thread that I'm interested in as I love Menzerna--and the fact that Phil has it on sale, makes it even better. I just tried some of the 106FA, and IMHO it's the way to go vs. 106FF. Less dusting with the same great finishing.

Attached photos are of my black 2006 Carrera S, right rear "bumper" area. I find the plastic is especially hard to finish out nicely. While not the best photos, I was certainly more than pleased with the polish and results. This was just one pass with a white LC pad via a PC at speed 5--no LSP applied. I may go over it with a black pad and some 85RD just to see what, if any, improvement that might give. If I were working on the whole area and not just giving the product a "test run", I would probably have done another pass. For this area of the car and level of marring the white pad seemed just right.

Hopefully the pictures will up load properly

uzj100 those are wicked pictures :thumb:

Menzerna delivers like no other and I agree with you 106FA compared to 106FF is much better, I'm not that great at expressing my self and I find it difficult to express the difference but when you try it man it's like night and day.

Welcome to Detailing Bliss, look forward to more pictures ;)

You will see a bit of difference if you go over it with 85rd. I used 106ff on my C6 and did half the hood after with 85rd, there is more depth and shine. I will add you do have to play with the 85rd to get these results, you can not just make a couple passes and expect a difference.

Thanks for the tip :thumb: I have my bottle of 85RD just sitting there waiting for it's opportunity to come out and play...well the time has come ;) Can't wait for to use it.

First, thanks to all for the warm welcome and the inputs. I actually have my car in decent enough condition that I primarily use 85RD and a black LC pad most of the time. I also tend to favor Swisswax Concorso over Zymol Concours now due to it being easier to work with and apply and remove than Zymol. Especially the Swisswax cleaner. Another product that I really like is Optimum No Rinse wash. My apologies if there are already hundreds of posts on that product.

I've attached additional photos prior to and after a wash with ONR. I did the rear bumper area in my post yesterday after the photos here.
