Danny time to find another supplier... I'm sure the difference in price from what you received from the low ball guy and a reputable dealer can't be that far apart.... and think about service etc...

Ok well that sell contacted me after all today and they dont seem to mind if I dont purchase it or if I do. I am on the fence here guys and need some help. I have another seller that will sell me his used once makita (8 to 10 hours of use so he claims) for $135 +15.90 =$150.90 or I can get the new one in box that I won for $163 +12=$175.00 What would you guys do get the new or get the used. The price difference is $25.00 take into consideration that I still need to purchase a backing plate and it costs from $25 to $65 depending on the one I get.

The reason the guy doesn't care is because they are not making any money on your transaction... You will find another good deal, just keep looking, especially now cause a lot of the guys on this forum are just dying to buy the new flex..... Put out a post asking for someone to sell you a good used one and I'm sure someone will get you a good used one......

I probably do neither for now. i just wait a little and be patient, good things will come. We are basically going into the slow part of the season, so really no rush. Who knows what offers are going to get thrown out as we get closer to the holidays? Or save your pennies and wait for your tax return and get the new Flex.

I will most likely get the one I won now that the seller responded to my message. I will let you guys know if I change my mind and post up a thread to see if anyone want to sell theirs.

Well I got the 9227C in today and just wanted to post some pics up with the CG Evolve4R 5" backing plate. I also got some christmas gifts courtesy of Mr. Dunn at Lake Country to sample. I received some 5.5" pads and a new 5" backing plate for my PC 7424XP.

The guy I got if from had an extra one it was his own personal Makita that was an extra that he wasn't using. He has only ever sold 8 items on ebay and doesn't own a store plus I won it by bidding it wasn't a "buy it now". But your still in luck I was going to get the 9227C from the following site its the cheapest on the net for price and shipping combined. For me it would have been $180 and some change so only $5 different of what I won mine for plus you get the Makita storage bag I didn't get that and also the wool and foam pads if you want to use them I wouldn't though. You can calculate your shipping without making an account so check it out it the best place I have found on the net. Or you can try bidding on ebay for a new or slightly used one.

Yes it did, I am glad I waited a little. Well I polished with it today to refine some trouble spots on my 2004 black Mustang GT it worked great. The backing plate is a little stiff I am sure the 3M is probably still stiffer. I took some scratches out of my rear bumper cover that is curved and it worked great it hugged the bumper perfectly. I still need to use it more before I can make a full review on it since I only corrected two small spots. I will be posting a small thread up in the Show and Shine in a few minutes.

    No problem man, likewise:)
