I haven't, but JL has. He mentioned it on page one - hopefully he'll poke his head back in here and share what he knows.

I pmed him about it. He said its similar to the Silk Shine by CG. I'd like to see pics, so if you or JL use it next time, would you be able to get pics of it on tires?

    Thanks

I've never tried it :sorry: Besides - I'm not sure it's intended for anything but carpets anyway.

    Here's what the label says:

    Left Panel:
    Machine Directions:
Test small spot for colorfastness. Vacuum area to be cleaned. HD cleaning dilute 1:10. Moderate soiled areas dilute 1:20. Light cleaning dilute 1:64. Rinse and vacuum well with extraction machine.

    By Hand Directions:
Vacuum area to be cleaned. Spray area with pre-mixed solution, agitate with brush. Rinse with clean water than wet/dry vac or wipe with dry cloth.

    Center Panel:
    Extraction Plus
    Encapsulating Carpet Extraction Cleaner

    Right Panel:
Designed for use in hot or cold water extraction machines for high quality cleaning of carpet or rugs. Safe to use on stain resistant carpeting as well as other types of carpet. Extraction Plus is a highly concentrated carpet extraction cleaner with encapsulating technology. Soil and reside vacuum out with ease, leaving no re-soiling or sticky powders after removal. Leaves fresh clean scent. Biodegradable.

    (End of label text)

It does smell nice. It smells like chemicals, but in a good way - sort of like laundry detergent, I guess. I don't own an extraction machine, so I've been using it by hand. Haven't owned the stuff long enough to know if I like it as well as Lemonator, but it certainly does work at 1:10 dilution. I bought a quart of it and I'll have it for many months at 1:10.

I might just get a quart of it for use on carpets and a quart of the lemonator just to use on upholstery....good prices on them for sure!

With the dilution ratios being as favorable as they are (4:1 for Lemonator, 10:1 for Extraction), I'd guess a quart will last a long time.

I may have forgotten to mention this, but I use Lemonator around the house too. I also mixed up a spray bottle of it for my Mom, who's got pets to clean up after every so often. She's quit buying carpet cleaners like Resolve now.

Once you've got the stuff and get a chance to try it out, let us know what you think. I'd be really surprised if you weren't happy with any of the ones JL and I have recommended.

I just called in and talked to Sean. He was some what helpful. I just have to double check everything with my parents before I send over the money. Who do you guys recommend talking to about pricing?

I prefer dealing with Jimmie and Phil if at all possible. They can answer ANY question you might have and give very good advice.

+1. Phil is one of the owners, and Jimmie is the guy who does all the mixing of products.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give Phil a call sometime this week to sort it all out. Thanks guys

Would Super Green Stuff meet these needs:

    1. general purpose cleaner that can be used on wheel wells, tires, and wheels. remove dressing.
    2. It can be left on surfaces for some time (like pre-soaking) without harm to most any surfaces
    3. Stronger than car wash soap
    4. Can be rinsed easily with water in rinseless (ha) routines (using spent ONR)
    5. Agitation would be expected (not looking for spray, no touch, rinse off like some cleaners)/

The net is I need something to supplement ONR on tires/wheels, etc but rinses fairly well without worry of spotting/staining, etc.

Are you asking if you were to soak the wheels and wheel wells with this first (Green APC), then do the ONR on the paint, then do the wheels and wheel wells would the ONR solution that you follow up with rinse the APC thoroughly enough w/out an actual rinsing, w/out leaving a soap scum film?

Good Question. I am also wondering about this.

That is exactly what I am thinking.

ONR cannot clean grease and dressings off tires. I must have not prep my wheel wells or tire/wheels like some ONR users that claim ONR can clean everything EXCEPT for the wax on the paint. (cynicism is intended).

I would spray down the wells, wheels, and tires as a presoak with the green stuff and then do the car with ONR. Then about 30 min later I would wipe down the soaked areas with the ONR.

I use SGS all the time, and I've never noticed any sort of soapy "leave behind" kind of filminess. But, I've also never used it in the way you're describing. I know it rinses clean off engines and engine bays with very little effort.
