I did a King Ranch and the owner was pretty adament that I use the King Ranch conditioner that came with the truck. I did and just for curiosity sake I decided to look to see who made it and it was Brothers Research aka Duragloss. It was in the exact same bottle as DG leather conditioner with a King Ranch label. I thought that was pretty funny.

I tried using a Microfiber applicator. But Ive got those sponge applicators on the way from you.

I used MF applicator and a sponge and neither foamed up. I used the same sponge again yesterday and it foamed a little more but nothing like I expected after reading the directions. Even though it did foam a little when squeezing the sponge the foam didn't last much longer than a few seconds.

    Wolfpacker,

I've used LM for nearly 10 years. You have to work it into a lather, it takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it you will not forget.

Generally i do not use the sponge, but go to a horse hair/boars hair brush.

The tips are flagged, so they will help produce that foam you need.

Hey thanks for the tip! I can see that the brush probably needs to be added to my collection. You must be right about the practice part because I got some foam the second time I used it but not much. Hopefully I'll get better at it. Any other suggestions you have about using the LM would be greatly appreciated.

    Strong cleaner,
    work it into a foam.
    work it into the leather.
let it sit for about 30 seconds.
    Wipe it dry.

Let air dry before the next cleaning pass.

    Repeat cleaning step.

Let air dry before leather vital step.

Apply a pea sized dot on a foam applicator.
work into a 8x8, then 12x12 then 18x18 inch area.
Apply another pea sized spot to the applicator and repeat the above steps.
The reason for starting small and working it to a larger size is to make sure the layers are thin and even.

Let leather dry before 2nd leather vital step.

    repeat leather vital step.

Let leather dry before leather protection cream

With new foam pad apply the same amount to the pad (1 pea sized dot. work in the same way as vital.

This layer only requires one application.

It will work just fine on coated and protected leather. As with any detail, it is 95% process and 5% product.
