Is foaming a car a necessity?

    This addition of chelating agents also applies to car wash soaps and detergents like MicroRestore.

    I thought foaming was also about adding lubricity (a way to spread a lot of soap and stick to the paint in some economical manner) in addition to the cleaning by the soap itself.

    so having a CR spotless, you would have more foam?
