So here is the story i bought a canopy and put it in my driveway, when i was in a hurry this friday to leave for the momorial day weekend. I forgot that the canopy is there and i hit it and when i was in the shock that my baby is scratched i jumped out hitting my door on the fence from driver side.

So now i wonder if i will have to repain the entire door.

from what I've been reading here on the forums if it's deep enough that your finger catches into it you'll probably need some touch up paint.

Worse case scenario and you'll need to repaint. If not, bonus. Get some touch up (Infi t/up paint comes in a stick with clear on one end and colour on the other). Apply SPARINGLY (just covers) with colour and let dry for hours if not even a day or 2. Apply clear over top. Again dry time. Apply more clear if needed until above level of surrounding metal. Again, allow sufficient dry time (measured in days). Correct via Langka or wet sand. If it saves it, great. You may get it to a stage where you alone see it and nobody else. I'd rather live with that than disturb factory paint. Good luck.

i know they make a filler with the pigment in it so you just sand and it will fill up the scratch and blend in. not sure what it is called but you could get some from a autobody shop.
