I am SO Not a Happy Camper Right Now

So I went to hang out with some friends at a local gathering.

I'm on my way home when all of a sudden I hear splat and I see what looks like goo on my windsheild. I knew right then that some little bastard egged my car. I busted a u turn right in the middle of the road (it was empty) to see if I could find the prick, but of course he was gone. So I stopped at a car wash that was less than a block away and immediately hit the car with the pressure washer (only water).

When I got home this is what I found

Sorry to see this, I'm still amazed the damage and egg can cause

From the pics...the prognosis doesn't look good. Is there a dent or is the clearcoat spidered?

Sorry to hear that. What really sucks is if you did catch them there really is not much you could do. Kids today are not scared of ppl older.

 

The area will have to be repainted. Egg shells are extremely hard and do a lot of damage. If you run your fingers over it I'm sure you will find that the paint is actually chipped, not just scratched. So sorry to see this happen right after you get your car back.

 

wow, sorry that happened! I know if that happened to me it would piss me off. Still cant believe that a egg did that but when a car is moving that is a decent amount of force. Best of luck with the repair.

This really sucks, I know how shitty vandalism is. The egg shell cuts into the paint as it splatters, and creates the damage shown. Luckily there isn't really much egging of cars that goes on around my area.

It's probably better that you didn't catch him, I know if I caught someone who f'd with my car, I'd probably be the one going to jail, not him.

 

Sure was. Talk about frustrating.

Tell you what I really would have put my hands on the little nitwit (so hard not to use 4 letter words right now..LOL) He would have found out what it's like to have a pissed off woman breathing down his back. Then I would have called the cops.

I know I just cleaned it up and was feeling someone good about the condition of the paint and then this happens. I get sick to my stomach when I think about it.

That sucks! Damaging someone elses property is about as sorry as you can get. I've done some stupid things growing up but I've never damaged someone elses stuff, I was taught better than that.

 

No dent, but I've gotta find someone to repaint my hood for sure.
