How often do you wax your cars?

Sounds a lot like me. Finally got the ONR out a couple of weeks ago and went over them. Waiting for the time to go out and get at them now. But then I gotta decide to keep waxing or put the opti-coat I ordered on and not worry about this for a bit. I'm so undecided.

 

I do my car every week, I do mine for looks not protection, i actually look forward to Friday so i can ONR then BG then Hydro. About every 3-4 weeks I will Amigo/Bg/Hydro.
My daily driver and my Wifes van is where i experiment with new products. I have found that Vic Chaos and CK CMW are suprisingly durable. Also I have been using V7 over SRP and durability has been better than expected not to mention the great looks,

 

I've been thinking about buying opti-coat, but I'm still not comfortable with the fact that it's going to seal the scratches if I don't buff the car 100%. A dd accumulates plenty of scratches no matter how much you try to keep it scratch-free. I don't want to deal with the "removing coat and re-applying coat" every time I want to improve the paint.

To the guys that wax almost monthly...do you get contaminant build up that needs to be removed by clay or no?

 

Rarely.

 

About once a month and no build up for me.

 

- Our SUV that sits outside: every 2-3 months (FK1000P)
- Our SUV that is garage-kept: every 4-5 months (476)
- My garage-kept Audi: every 4-6 weeks (one of many carnuabas)

 

if im using a sealant i dont do it very often 3-4 months but if im using a nice and easy to use good smelling nuba.....i tend to do it as a stress relief 2-4 weeks something good on the stereo and just zone out......its something so relaxing about using midnight sun or petes 53

 

Agree with you dude. Ever since I got my tub of Lusso Oro from Phil@DD, I've been waxing like crazy!!
