Just curious. My commute, round trip, is around 11 miles. I was speaking to another E46 owner at Wawa and he told me he commutes almost 180 miles round trip to get to his office. EVERYDAY!! How about the rest of you guys?
I'm very lucky my commute is only 8 miles round trip. A lot of guys I work with though drive well over 100 miles round trip. I just couldn't be in a car that long everyday. But I do travel a good bit for my job. Like monday I had a 400 mile commute, but that doesn't happen too often, and if its any farther we fly. Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk
Mine is around 12 miles round trip. Including stopping at Starbucks, its around 20-25 minutes each way. There are 19 traffic lights between my house and my shop. :shakehead:
right now my house is my office but come March that will change! I think its a 10 mile commute. my wife does 120 round trip everyday
My commute right now is 85 miles round trip every single day. That's excluding any side trips or errands that I might do... It sucks...
i've heard that the average person drives about 10,000-12,000 miles per year. a 120 mile trip to work and home is more than double the average that a person is estimated to drive their car annualy. I guess you have to do what you have to do!
last year i bought her a nice low mile acura mdx, and in the one year we've had it she put on 30k miles, Highway miles are easy on the car, you just gotta make sure you follow the maintenance schedule and it should end up looking and running like cars with half the mileage. the problem is with all those miles the windshield is pitted and needs to be replaced and the front bumper is starting to show some rock chips
I only have a 30 mile round trip commute but travel a lot for work. On months where I am on the road I average about 5k miles...Luckly I only have to use my car when I travel in MO.
True. Windshield and bumpers take a beating, but its amazing how long brakes and rotors last when its mostly highway. Plus an Acura is a great car for longevity.
on this note: if u have a long drive, keep that in mind before leasing a car w/ a mileage limit or you will be selling your wax collection to cover the overage. :sos:
25 miles, round trip. More traffic at night than in the AM though...always sucks. For the detailing, I'd say about 12 feet. From the house to the drive way! Gonna be much further when I get my new shop come spring!
Me too, about 35' from upstairs down to my gararge. Used to have nasty commuting throughout parts of northern cali...yuck.
My room is my office, but my place of employment is 5 miles down the road. Not that that matters much since my work is driving... I had a job that would take me around 200+ miles away from home, but I thoroughly enjoy driving.
I commute about 60ish miles round trip, its about 30 minutes each way with straight highway and little to no traffic. Does take a beating on the car. In the year and one month I have had my car I have 27,000 miles.
