How do you guys apply a sealant?

    You have to wash the pad after you use sealant or wax right?

    I remember usign a blue LC pad on my xc3401 to apply collinite 476.... and a few weeks after I forgot to wash the pad and the remaining wax on it turned to dust kind of like compound does.

    So I washed it, but not all the wax came off, you can still see tiny particles embedded in the foam pad. How do you completely remove it? I used regular dish soap to clean it in the sink which usually gets the job done.

    Liquid sealants I use DA with Gold LC pad and then use a foam app to get the hard to reach areas

    +1 on this... Is it just me or the gold pad absorb less liquid, hence we can use less amount to cover an entire car? I use 4" LC gold with D/A and manage to use only 10ml of liquid and less than 2 moderate swipes on paste to do an entire MPV.......
