High end waxes, which one???

I have to agree with P1et/GBS. There are a lot of fantastic waxes out there - many under $50.

 

I bought Vintage just over a year ago, and I'm very happy with it. I figure I'll probably refill it about 25 times in my lifetime, and it's inheritable, so my son will be able to refill it, too.

Vintage is fairly easy to apply, it looks great, has average durability, but the thing I really like about it is it's ease of cleaning. Nothing sticks to it. I'm able to do a completely touchless wash and have the car come out completely clean. Unlike sealants, it's also easy to blow dry with a leaf blower. The water just jumps off the car when the air hits it. Most sealants I've used like to split up into a bunch of small droplets when hit with the leaf blower, then they are difficult to get to blow off the car.

If you consider how many refills you're going to get out of your lifetime, it's not really *that* expensive for a high end wax; my 25 refills will end up costing me about 68 bucks each. That doesn't include shipping, but through an arrangement I have at work, I can ship stuff for free.

That's not a bad idea, Fluxy.. I might have to call Diane and ask if they'd mind a visit.

 

IMO Victoria wax competes and beats waxes prices at $175+.

 

My most expensive wax is Souveran and I love it...

 

Concorso is a VERY nice wax.

I like it, I also like P21s, Pete's 53, a Mothers and a few others.

Knowing me as well as I do, it probably won't be too long til I say the names of the one's I'm really disappointed in. And they cost more than the Soverian.

Spend your money on a rotary and some Menz, a weekend in your garage, and then you can use Colli at $15 a tin and tell people its Vintage

 

lol..you can get away with this only online, for those that have used Vintage and know what it looks like you'll never fool them if they have the vehicle in front of them that is. Well strangely enough, I can tell when someone has used Vintage...in person that is, with pictures, it's really hard to tell. Heck even Divine is quite different compared to Crystal Rock..but then again that's just me :shrug:

 

Free refills aside, which high end wax would you choose? CR, Vintage, Divine, Mystery...what? You've probably tried them all, what is YOUR opinion?

 

To be honest, it's a tough one. When I first got Divine I thought it looked great, but seeing Crystal Rock it's something else. Completely different, more depth, more glow...but I'm still a huge fan of Zymol. To be honest, not sure what Zymol does to Vintage but there is something about it that makes it extremely hard to ignore. I don't really care about refills and what not, those are just bonuses if you ask me. All i'm after is that Carnauba glow, gloss is nice but I'm all about that glow and so far the two waxes that have given me that are Crystal Rock and Vintage...don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with Divine, Mystery..ect..ect..but I personally prefer Crystal Rock and Vintage...so far.

C'mon, Gary. If you can afford a Lambo, you can affrod Vintage. YOur car should of come with it for that price...

 

BoS, Mystery, Zymol Titanium and Destiny. But no Supernatural, because its very glossy indeed, but mile away from the others (make stripes and shadows and so on)
