I think thats what I am going to do. I think I can spend my money on better things. I do really wanna try pete's 53 on this car though.

Funny that you mention Pete's 53, because that's one of two "high-end" waxes that I kept. I also kept Vic's Red.

I have always wanted to try it. Has anyone used the chemical guys paint correction polishes?

I agree with Gianni and Ken. I have spent more money than I care too imagine on higher end waxes and have come full circle to waxes/sealants that to me have more utility with great protection longevity, and look. The more dialed in the finish on your paint is the better overall look you will get. I am just as happy with the 50 plus coats of Powerlock I have put on cars over the last couple years as any high end wax. Save your money and take it from people who have gone through that phase and buy smart. Good luck with the detailin!

    btw, nice engine build!

Stick with Menz/Megs polishes. Its more expensive, but the results are worth it. This is one area where you spend the money.

Should I buy the menzerna power gloss as well? What exactly is the purpose of the D300? I am going to buy a 7424xp this week. What should I buy as far as pads goes and a backing plate? Any suggestions on where to buy for a good deal?

You won't need the Powergloss. The D300 is a compound that was developed explicitly to work with the MF cutting discs. Here is what you will need
    PC7424XP
    5" DA Backing Plate
    2pk Megs MF Cutting Discs
    16 or 32oz of Megs D300 Compound
    2 B&S Green Polishing Pads
    16oz Menzerna Power Finish
    2 B&S Black Polishing Pads
16oz Menzerna Super Finish or 32oz Menzerna 85RD ( not avail in 16oz)

    Thanks for the feedback Ken.

OP, that turbo and intercooler are a bit small. LOL

    Insane build.

    Best of Luck.

I think it was $550 or so until recent 20% price increase...I haven't used Mystery, but used Insignis (and still have the pot, it was Christmas gift from my wife), and it's the next best thing you can get to Crystal Rock for the money. If budget allows - grab both Mystery and Insigis. If not - you choose, I'd grab Insignis due to it's VERY LIMITED production...

If you want mystery and you don't mind having an older jar I have one and we can wheel and deal. Current price is $799.00
