Nica, it took me a total of 10 hours to complete the detail. It was already washed when I started, so I didn't have to do any wet work which saved me some time. I was pressed for time on this job, so I did as much as I could in the time alotted. Usually on a full paint correction, it will take me much more time to complete, but I was lucky that the Ultrafina was agressive enough to remove the compounding haze left from the Extra Cut and finished off swirl free on this particular Chrysler paint.

Normally, I would perform an in-between step such as 106ff. The 106ff has more cut than the Ultrafina, which works great for removing comounding haze after an agressive compounding and leaves the surface about 95% perfect (in my eyes). The Ultrafina really seems to burnish the paint and raises the gloss to a higher level (in my eyes). I used 3M Extra Cut, 106ff and Ultrafina on my Electron Blue Corvette and was blown away by the results.
