it becomes more a cleaning mentality then a detailing mentality IMO.......... I always tell people I do the SUVs and vans for profit, and the more nice cars for fun.
Not a big fan of mini vans, only had to do one so far. Very simple to do, but like Kilo said, it's more like cleaning. I wasn't satisfied with my work until the mom saw the difference and was ecstatic. Then I thought, well it wasn't that bad
Exactly. I always do a van and think "there is so much more I could have done for this car" but when the owner sees it and lights up at how nice it looks I feel like I did my best and since they're happy, that's all that matters.
I think with most van or SUV owners who use them as a family hauler, they are very excited to have it better then what they could get at a car wash. I feel that way too, about 3 hours into it, im thinking " I could spend another 4 hours" but the owners are always excited to see a substantial improvement and that you "waxed" it lol
I was just going to reply to the members post above saying how he loved the interiors of minivans. I agree with this post as well. I'm a big guy (300lb) so its hard for me to move around when detailing those coupes. Get me a minivan and im in heaven. I can move freely and generally finish the job more efficiently since the space is large and simple like you mentioned. Removable seats, now that is a plus too!
