I use Megs APC+ for carpets, wheel wells, door jambs, and engine bays. Detailed my roomie's '94 ford ranger engine bay a week ago that was god awful dirty at 200k and that was the first time I diluted it to 1:5 and with agitation all the build up washed off. Its safe to use on paint, but shouldn't be allowed to dry on it. If I remember correctly Grime Reaper's label says it shouldn't be used on paint. It didn't work too well for me either. So carpet cleaning, decent smell, cheaper, I'd go with something useable all over the car like Megs APC+ because I use it for cleaning house carpets as well. Gallon CG Grime Reaper: 19.45 Gallon Megs APC+ $12.95
well, I decided to just stick with Zeps, cost, local availability and it works really well. I still have a gallon of OPT PC for more sensitive areas, but im going to stick with Zeps I think and continue to use GUNK on the real nasty jobs.
I keep hearing great stuff about the Zep cleaner.... I might pick up a gallon since i have family that works at lowes. I have not played around with Grime Reaper.... Never felt i needed the strength. I usually use CG Orange degreaser and its strong enough for me. For lighter stuff i used to use CG APC, but mow i just use CG Nonsense. I am gonna trade a buddy for some Megs APC+ and see whats up cause i am curious about this as well.
