Got my 3M Backing Plates in!

You cannot get these from Carquest? I was looking at them today in the store. Perhaps not this exactly same part number, but they had various 3M backing plates.

 

I just used these today and they are...... well...... AWESOME!!!!!!

glad your pleased with your purchae FMINUS....oh by the way what is the difference of the two pads you got? The yellow one and the um..grey backing plate? I only have the yellow foam backing plate and I'm pleased with it...I go a few more coming to...oh I'm guessing that your 3m Backing plates are 5/8th thread right.

 

The grey ones are a tad big firmer. Yea, mines the 5/8.

Best backing pads around. Less vibration

These suckers are seriously AWESOME! They hold the pad better than anything else out there on the market too!

 

I am about to make another order for some, Im going to see if I can get a case in to distribute among the members!!!!

 

Are these only for your rotary?

Yup, a case would be wicked bro!!! They are completely different bread of backing plates. If you need a contact in UK you can always go to Rich at Polished Bliss, just in case you need a UK person.

I've only used the yellow one FMINUS, but I'd be curious to try the grey one, I don't know I personaly like the yellow has a wicked feel to it. I like the idea of half and half though :thumb:

Oh the best part is when you try to remove the foam pads from the 3M backing plate :rollinglaugh:
