wow very nice turnaround. i personally would have told him that i was going to charge him HOURLY for the job lol. i cant even guess how long a job like that would take, especially if you wanted to get it PERFECT and with like a three step correction.

I don't know what I can say that the others haven't already said. Man you did a phenomenal job on that. Amazing that we are our own worst critics since you didn't think it turned out that great but I bet the owner was doing backflips with excitment when he saw it. As much as I dislike interiors I'm not sure I would have been up to that challenge, like you were.

been cruzin the junk yards looking for some parts the last few weekends and never saw an interior that bad even the cars that had no windows!

I hope that it's just allergys acting up and not the plague!! :yikes:

LOL, naw, just allergies. Thanks for the kind words fellas. I didn't mind doing it, as like I said, I like a challenge to keep me on my toes. Doing interiors is the top of my list, for the most part.

I had to pull the seats, there was no way around that. The owner did mention trying to sell it now, now that it is all cleaned up and he purchased my truck. He should at least get something for it, whereas before, you would have to pay someone to take it...lol.

He had a 6 foot ladder in it the other day after I cleaned it. It was already on the path to looking the same way... bummer..... but hey, I got my $$.

As for the exterior, the pictures do not do anything. It looks the same. I did a quick wash, clay, and polish with Megs #66 to bring back whatever shine was left on the car.

it's amazing how people let things get that bad before doing anything about it. i don't blame you for taking the job (great for showing what you can do), but i'm sure you're happy you don't have to do that every single day!

Got to the job and looked over the vehicle.
    Put on rubber gloves.:graduation:
    Removed the seats.
Started to "pre-vacuum" to remove some of the hair and dirt so I wouldn't get covered.
Scrubbed all door panels with an APC and a blue scotch brite pad (non scratch)
Did the same with the dash.
The nasty cupholders got a shot of degreaser and left to dwell (Purple Power, diluted)
Seats were pretreated with a carpet spotter I mixed up.
(5 gallon jug with 1 gallon of ZEP High Traffic, 28oz of extractor shampoo, 1 cap of woolite, and the rest water. Still tweaking it)
Carpet was vacuumed again, this time I had to brush it.
Carpet was spotted with my mix and scrubbed, then let dwell. (same with the seats)
I used my hot water extractor, a few time... ok, a lot of times.
    Glass with Stoners
    Dressed with Rightlook interior dressing
Finished off with another vac and interior was misted with Odo-Ban

That is some [AWESOME WORK] there I would have drove it in the ocean. Then pull it out after a couple of days. Then the seats might be clean. GREAT JOB:graduation:

He's now trying to sell the car since he bought my truck. Shouldn't have too much of a problem getting and $$ for it now.
