ok, in all fairness I went and got the other bottle and tried it on my wifes car, it has 6 coats of Glanz Wax on it, it was less grabby, but took the slickness from the glanz away. sprayed it down with some distilled water from a spray bottle, it beaded a little but a fraction of beading that the straight glanz had. I then went back over the car with pro detailer, the slickness is back......

Not sure what to think at this point.

What wash ratio are you washing at (how many oz did you use per gallon) ?

2 oz per 5 gallons of water, but im using it as a wash booster with some maxi sudz, do you think that is a issue with it?

Try 2oz to a 3 gallon wash it has worked the best for me at that ratio. With 3 gallons its more than enough to wash a ride no need to wash with 5 unless its a large sub or truck. Also use it solely don't mix it with another soap:)

From what I am reading it seems like alot of the posts show that people are using too much soap per gallon. The CG label (and CG tech line) both advised me to only use 1oz of wash solution per 5 gallons of water. I wonder if too much wash solution/product is causing sticky paint situation due to the gloss enhancing properties of glossworks.

Honestly, I feel this is where the sticky feeling is coming from. even 3oz per 5 gallons is WAY too much soap (according to CG). From my experience this much product will begin to strip the LSP.

For any CG soap (CWG, CWC, Glossworks, Maxi suds, Honeydew snowfoam), 1oz per 5 gallons of water is all I use.

Handz to be honest with you I have used Glossworkz at the CG recommended dilution of 1oz per 5gallons and it sucks at that ratio it provides hardly any lubricity at all. I have a gallon of it and have played with the dilutions for a while and have found that with 2 oz to 2 1/2 oz to a 3 gallon wash is where it performs the best and doesn't leave any residue whatsoever. And you will see the gloss it leaves behind also most importantly the lubricity is worlds better than the CG dilution:)

Danny, you have a head up on me because i have only used 1 oz per 5 gallons so i cant tell how other ratios work. I am honestly scared to use a higher amount of soap because i dont wanna strip my LSP.

I am gonna have to try a different ratio, but for me the CG ratio has been really slick.

I did wash my car back to back a few days apart using MSUG and Glossworks. I played with the MSUG ratio and even though their ratio is 1oz to 1gallon, i used MSUG at 2oz to 5 gallons and had the same results as 1 oz per gallon.

ok, all is not lost it seems, I really want this to work...LOL....... I will use it as a stand alone, 2 oz for 3 gallons on my next wash.

Wha wha what!!! I'm not sure what voodoo magic your on but 1oz doesn't make anything slick in my bucket.... Do you know if the glossworkz formula was changed ever?

That's right! When something sucks, I just say it sucks. Anyway, reading this thread made me wanna try out the remaining of my sample bottle out at higher concentration...wonder if it will make any difference...

I am guessing it has to do with the TDS levels in your water they are most likely lower than my TDS level. But dont be afraid man Glossworkz wont strip your LSP like say Citrus Wash & Gloss. I had 2 coats of BFWD on my GT and it lasted me 5 1/2 months and all I would wash with weekly or bi weekly was Glossworkz at 2 to 2 1/2 oz per 3 gallon wash:) Give MS UG at try at the same dilution (2 to 2 1/2 oz per 3 gallons) and your going to see it works great I like it more than Glossworkz.

Glad your going to give it another go Karl. I am going to give Reload a try since I have had it on my self for over 2 months now and never got the chance to use it. I will do a wash the following week with Glossworkz and let you know if I encounter the same problem you did.

I am sure it will man it did for me:) I really think if CG would have stated a higher oz dilution per gallon more detailers would have liked it more and it would have been a better seller. The reason I have had so much time to play with is because I have a gallon of it. Usually those who try out the 16oz bottle dont have enough oz to be able to find the right dilution that works for them so they end up not purchasing it again once they run out.
