Sorry I meant that RIch Light told the detailer that all the products the detailer is using was garbage compared to GI. Prior to me hearing this I was really interested in their QD but wow I never heard of QD messing towels up before.

Of course Brandon you also remember on that trip the lies he told to Sam @ Premier about "The trailer" so he would miss Dave and I @ Premiers Grand Opening in Anaheim..................I can do this all night as it is endless.

Despite my GI backing plates working well, I wish I had known this before purchasing. Even if a product/tool works well, I would never knowingly support someone who behaves like this guy from GI.

Unfortunately ...no, we were told it was purified oil(Bing would spy the Johnson & Johnson baby oil above the sink when he came to the "Signature Class" and he asked me about it............at the time I was ready to bail but I felt I owed it to Rich and the guys as I made a commitment to be there.

I have visited his shop a few times. Every single time he really tries to up sell himself and tells me he is the master behind DSMS and Bob's skills.. lol. He even once told me Sonax copied his wheel cleaner which worked.. alright btw. Now I regret buying the pad primer and feel like an idiot for not realizing the crazy resemblance it has to baby oil. At least I didn't let me convince me to buying his ridiculously priced foam pads.. only the wool. Anyone have experience with his gray wool pad? I haven't even used it yet.

Alright..................I am coming clean :what: Dave and I are what we are because of Rich Light. I have only been doing this since 07 which is right before I met Rich, and I needed mentoring to "Get to the next level" and I knew he could do that for me.

The above paragraph is fictional....................it just gets worse and worse, first Andy changes his name from "Zenith to Auto Concierge" and now Rich claims he taught us the "Stuff" I guess in some way I should be flattered but I am not......... two a**hats getting owned on the regular, how do people think this way?? is beyond me.

Lake Country Purple Wool Pad is what I replaced the gray wool with. Sonax to me is a better product in my opinion and is cheaper. As Bob stated earlier the only products I liked would be Tire Dressing, Trv, and the leather cleaner. I can honestly say after the class I never used any paint correction polishes. As far as the signature gloss its a pain in the ass to get off always leaves a haze needs to cure for a long period of time and so on and so forth. I can't speak for Crystal Rock wax as I haven't tried it, but I can tell you I use Swissvax Mirage and Concorso both have a better deep wet look and a 4th of the price.

I will thrown in a quick GI story, sans anything to do with rich's business practices. I held a detailing meet a few years ago, and one of the highlighted tests was the GI polish line. I had a go with some success on a honda, owned by one of the guys at the shop I was at at the time. I had a newbie give the mid polish a go ago ended up with a pile of holograms. No biggie, he had never used a rotary before. Where things went south was when I attempted to rid the car of holograms using his finishing polish. One hit, checked outside, everything was still there. Another hit, everything was still there again. Then I was like WTF, in front of 10 guys, the finishing polish did nothing. Took out 85rd, one shot, gone. Never touched the stuff since and gave away my polishes to someone. Zookie was there and we were all having a bit of a laugh about it.

Wow this thread is interesting, but I like the GI backing plate that Bryan gave me, it works well. So we can use baby oil (filtered) to prime pads and give them a longer working time(polishes)?

I only want to know about GI's detail spray. I use it alot and wanted to know if any of you have info on it, like if it has any silicon in it or if any other detail spray on the market is like it. it is, by far, the best detail spray that i have come across and i personally love it. even if it is $100 dollars a gallon but am more than willing to go to another product line if I get identical results.

I can back up this statement, we were talking about the products one day and he said he makes them all from scratch and that he did have a degree in chemistry.

I am a distributor of GI and I find it funny that everyone has the same story. I was told that the reason I was leaving holograms was because I didnt know how to polish properly and that i needed to take his class and pay $3000 for it. I bought over $5,000 dollars worth of products to sale and he wouldn't teach me for free. Oh ya I have been detailing for 20 years and I am on the committee for education and certification for the International Detail Association and I have been asked to do an hour seminar and the WCWA convention in October, so I think I might know a little about detailing. He promised once I bought products that he would send people my way, NOT ONE YET and it has been over a year. He did tell me he was a chemist and he designed the foam pads he sales.

Its crazy to think that he is such a blow hard. For those interested I will be blowing out this product line just like I did CG
