ive decided to clay with sonus clay . then hit the paint with (swissvax) cleaner fluid . then top off with a nice coat of concorso. then a week later top off with a second coat..
hmm. sounds nice. never used concorso. I am doing sonus clay as well, followed with prep-all, 2 coats of AJT and a coat of 845.
Hey, Tom, how durable is Concourso on it's own? You might wanna have a layer of 845 underneath for winter LSP. I just had my daily driver fully polished with my new Makita, sealed with 3 coats of Z-5 ZFX'ed, and topped with 2 coats of Autoglym High Defenition wax.
Why wait a week between the two coats. Will the car stay inside the whole time? If not it will get contaminated in a week IMHO. I thought that 24h was more than sufficient for curing wax.
true i might rewash then rewax. the next day in fact . 24 hours is enough cure time .your right thanks guys!
how are you likeing saphir? i was thinking of trying that as my next wax. being that crystalrock is way outa my price range ..
I personally prefer longer protection, therefore in your case you can still layer Swissvax, but layering it over Collinite 845 would be the best bet...you live nearby detailerdomain, right? You can stop by and get a bottle, this stuff rocks!!!
I really like it. You know I'm a junkie for beading action. It might not last as long as Collinite, but I was having issues with it. At times, I would have a hard time removing it all properly even though I put it on thin and it got annoying. The Saphir hands down beats the Collinite in beading/sheeting ability. With a layer of Jetseal underneath it, it should be perfect for winter time.
I think Souveran looks good almost over anything, haha. I would go with C-845 then 2x on the SV layers. Never know when the winter will hit hard and you can not re-wax, the Collinite will keep on chugging and you'll have the piece of mind that you are still protected after the SV starts to fall off.
