The XDM is a outstanding pistol, Springfield has some of the best customer service, my primary is a Springfield 1911 loaded and I have an operator as well and love their products.
I have never felt the need to own a gun until I bought a house that is situated in the middle of the woods. My brother-in-law has been slowly introducing me to guns and I think this is a great first gun. He has a 1911 and it's a great gun. This is definitively not going to be my last one. My grandfather gave me a S&W .357 short barrel that I'm trying to bring from Puerto Rico in a few weeks. It was given to him by his father back in the 60's and it's in mint shape. I'm trying to keep it in the family.

LOL I hear ya. I had my fill of road trips for awhile. 3 in the past 5 months. Florida twice then ATL 2 weeks ago. Way to many nuts on the road now. I hope they arrive safely . Don't eat to much .LOL Enjoy
