haha Okay, but if it is really cold, then I will call you. Otherwise I pretty much have to do it at my place because he only lives 20 mins away. I have a 1500W ceramic heater, so I should be okay for a while. I am going to eat brunch so I can work as long as possible straight. :D It shouldn't be too bad. I detailed in -2C. Sat has a low of -7C, so I will have to wash it quickly and use my steamer on the tires and engine first. I have a massage before hand so I will just set the heater to heat up my garage to 25C and by the time I get back and start the detail my garage should be a warm enough to work in.

Just got off the phone with Rich from polished Bliss UK and I wanted to confirm about using the Gel with the 200 gauge. Rich said that he dosen't recomend usin the Gel that comes with the gauge because if you leave it on paint it's a salt base product and if left on the surface of the paint it will stain/edge the paint.

So what Rich recommended was you use shampoo mixed with water, QD and even plain water.

I just realised this (because Rich told me) but the 200 gauge and the 6000 gauge are completely different systems....the 200 uses ultrasonic vawes wile the 6000 uses magnetics.

The way Rich explained the use of the 200 gauge is this way. It's like when pregnant woman go to the doctor for the ultrasound, the Dr's use a gel and apply it on the probe and the reason for that is that so the ultrasonic waves are concentrated to go through the gel and towards the belly...if you don't use the gel (or some kind of liquid) the waves are disbursed all over the place and the waves won't concentrate/home in, in one section/area.

Oh and Rich asured me that the 200gauge can only do plastic, fiber glass ect..ect..ect..it wont do metal that's why I got the 6000 gauge.

Man these gauges are wicked :headbang:

Not the 200, acording to Rich (I haven't tested it out my self just yet I will, I found a scrap fender I use for testing in the house :woot:) the 200 gauge can not do metal...well it will give you a reading but not an accurate reading more like a guess reading.
