wow that is fast, how long did it take to overheat?

Yup, your correct about the other reasons for it to over heat..extension cord...breaker...ect..ect..

But what were the conditions you had it under? Just curious becuase mine seems to overheat on those short usage...just trying to understand other conditions others find.

I guees time will tell, i know carlos' like to overheat. i have also heard of other people having trouble with it.
It sounds like a great buffer when its working andcool...keep us posted after a few details

Using a 5.5" pad isnt the secret for me, thats for sure.

 

I would like to hear your feedback on Leather Master on top coated leather since you and I have been discussing this topic off an on for a while.

The Metabo will NOT overheat if everything is working correctly. This includes technique, polish, pad, etc. My complaint is that I can put a different rotary in the same situation and it will NOT overheat.
