Film on window after lsp?

Recently after removing my lsp ive been noticing a film on the window....its a little oily and sometimes a pain to get off?? Could it be from the wax?? Thats my guess but i havnt really experienced this before until just recently.:shrug:

 

Any advice?

 

use a 50/50 mix of Isopropyl alcohol and water.

 

Or just straight isopropyl alcohol.

 

i usually put a sealant on the window and after i remove it theres no film left on the window but its after i wax the car(dont wax the window) that the film appears?? kinda strange...but yeah next time i have that film with no protection on my window ill give it a ipa wipedown

 

was the glass hot?

 

no glass was not in sun or any sort of light, in the shade...but it does get humid here??

 

What wax were you using?

 

it was either p21s 100% or souveran, i dont think i was using the swissvax...yea i think it was p21s

 

Wow, that's an odd one.

I kind of doubt the wax is anything to do with it, since you said you didn't apply it to the window. It sure sounds like it's something else.

Do you Rain-X your glass? Is the haze on the outside of the glass, or the inside?

 

no rainx, the haze is on the outside. yea i still cant figure it out:shrug:

 

Is it on all the windows?

 

it was on all the windows but the last time that this happened to me it was just on the windshield

 

ok so today i just did a maintenance detail on my car. simple wash, interior, WAS gonna wax but it started to rain and i got irritated so decided to stop there and just use a qd. then after a few hours i see that film on my window again!!!!!! guess its not from the wax, but what could it be from? maybe my ww towel is causing this? i have no clue at this point....just really frustrated!!!

 

What kind of car is it, Japanese cars have alot of out gasing from their plastic interiors that cause this haze on the glass.

 

its a honda civic....thats my beater car but its happened on my fiancees benz also

 

maybe ill try to strip the diamondite sealer that i used on it, but i dont think that the sealant is the problem cause the other windows dont get the haze....just the windshield

your glass still has a film on it. some product.. i tried the diamondite brand a number of products and came a way extremely disappointed.. i can't stand their products.. i used the clay polish and it put marks i thought were scratches in my glass they looked so stable.. but i got them out with a ton of products.. and will never use their products again.. very very difficult to use and i get much better results with other products.. i would stay away from diamonite. and honestly i cannot think of another product or set of products i have used i dislike more in my 5-6k arsenal of products.
