Any information on hotels Carlos?

 

Yup, I'm looking up the ones that are near the area. There are lots though, nice thing too is that this spot is near my house. I'm only about 10min away from the airport, not a big house but it's a confortable house for the three of us at the moment.

I'll be posting a few hotels that are near the place were it will be held :thumb: as far as price goes not sure if I can help on that besdies just the online information but I'm looking in to it, I'll post a few of them up and if for those that are coming you pick one and I can phone and get pricess for you guys but let me get a few that are around the area and we will go from there.

Oh, one question I had. For those that do come down, are talking about just us getting together and shooting the breeze or are we talking like a Detail Fest? Because I'm thinking a Detail Fest...Detailing Bliss Detail Fest, special guest are....well you get the idea.

I'm just thinking that since I got a spot for at least 10 vehicles, I could advertise it here in town and get a reasonable turnout and we could be in there showing other how to detail, interior, exteriors, engine bays, rims..ect..ect..a full blown Detail Fest. Well that's what's going through my mind, but if you guys have something else in mind...something more low key that works too.

Canada? oh wow, thats far from me..... at least 20 hours driving.... and im not sure im able to get a passport with my pending infraction......

 

I am down for a detail session. My biggest concern is not having the equipment i am used to. or hauling mine there. I know phil wants to come. Eat, bullshit, eat, bullshit,eat and go home. He wants good food, that's it. I told him it is canada and unless we whack a seal (not happening in calgary) it is not likely we will find good food.

I'm not sure the border guards would let my trailer across. I have several cases of what appears to be gelatinous explosives. damn you menzerna.

I don't want to get a call from the border, saying somethign among the lines as. Hello Mr. Carlos, we have a so called friend of yours trying to bring a trailer full of what appear to be explosives but your buddy claims they are polishing products, we are going to need to come in for questioning hahahahahahahaha.

As for food, my sister is a chef and man she can cook...I hardly go out to restaurants thanks to her. I'm sure I can get her to cook a mean dinner for us :thumb: There are a few restaurants around town that aren't too, too bad but I'll take my sisters cooking over the restaurants :nod:

 

Yeah this sounds like a cool idea. I would be willing to make the drive if I can get the days off. I could use lots of help in product choice and process.

woah I missed this thread!! I will see if I can pop by for a few hours. it soulds like it will be grand!

 

We are still working out the details Duratys but we are still debating weather to make it a full Detail Fest (meaning advertising it to the Calgary public or just us DB members) or just a get together with the boys, we bring products to try out and swap if we want and dont forget to bring our rotarys and share some tips and tricks heck we can even polish an entire vehicle :thumb:

DB Boss will give me one of his vehicles to bring along and he wont tell me which one I or he will be bringing

 

I am seriusly thinking about comming. checking fly tickets and everything!!

 

Man if you come out buddy I'll take a few days off and take you up to Banff and show you around :thumb: that and we can play with some toys I'll have :thumb: Let me know...oh I'm going to be posting the hotels around here, sorry that I haven't done it but I'll be doing that shortly :sorry:

Well with the opportunity to fill ten bays we should try our best to do so. I would love to have a hands on demonstration to get the basics with proper technique etc. Hanging out to BS is allways a good thing too :woot:
