A little goes a long way with Plastic. You don't need to drench the surface to get results.

@phil or anyone else...how do you tell if the leather is coated or uncoated? im doing an interior next week on a 95 Tahoe and the owner says its in bad shape. i might have to go this rout but do not want to mess up the leather. thanks in advanced.

I used it on many cars leathers and has always work great never a problem. Most of the leather in cars now days are blend or not even real leather. You should always do a test spot before using any product anyways. The 95 Tahoe you should be ok. My brother works for BMW of north america and and the only part of the seat that has to be leather is where you sit to be called leather seats.

I'm pretty sure that leather is coated. I'm warning you ... GM leather is crap and it doesn't take much to remove the dye. Do a test spot and be gentle and don't rush it. I would use a soft bristle leather brush (instead of this attachment) for leather that is that old.

One of the most basic tests - put a drop of water on the leather. If it absorbs the water and turns dark at that spot because of the absorbed water, then it is probably going to be Uncoated leather.
If the drop of water sits there and is not absorbed, then you can be pretty sure the leather is Coated.

Good luck with the Tahoe ! I did one recently that was trashed..

    Uncoated leathers still absorb moisture..

Used this approach on a dirty g35 interior and cleaned it up VERY nice. This brush is a MUST have for carpets/leather deep cleaning. Thanks Mike for jumping in to help with our questions :)

Customer was shocked when I showed them the 50/50 pics!

So i have done this twice now and love it. I use the 1Z einszett Plastic Deep Cleaner in combination with Adams upholstery cleaner. I need to get a full gallon of the deep cleaner. Love how it works on dash boards and side panels!

Phil do you sell gallon sizes of deep cleaner???
