I know Nica was interested in extractors. Ive done a LITTLE research on them. Specifically the Mytee 8070 and Spyder. Ive also looked into chemicals for them. I didnt really realize how much is actually involved here. Ive been looking at stuff on interlinksupply.com. Basically you need a pre- conditioner, a rinse agent, and a spotting agent. Recommendations Ive seen are as follows. Pre- Conditioners Prochem Ultrapac Pre- Treat LVC Biokleen Traffic Lane Cleaner Rinse Agents Prochem Dry Slurry Prochem All Fiber Rinse. Spotting Agents Prochem Citrus Solvent- oil, grease, tar Biokleen Paint Oil Grease Prochem T- Rust- rust remover Biokleen Bac- Out- food Pro Choise Stain Magic- wood, wine, mustard, coffee, tea, urine, vomit, feces, potted plants, etc. Pro Choice Red Relief- synthetic dyes Pro Choice Urine Stain Remover So you've got all these different spot agents for different kinds of stains. On top of the pre- conditioners and rinse agents. The purpose of the rinse agents is to remove any left over solvents in the carpet. Cleaning Order Thorough vacuum Pre- treat stains Spray on pre- conditioner Put rinse agent in solution tank and extract Then you can apply a stain blocker and let the car dry References Grouse- http://autopia.org/forum/profession...t-purchases-mytee-lite-ii-any-tips-using.html www.interlinksupply.com
This is good information D&D as I've been doing lots of searching for an extractor. So far I'm impressed with the Mytee HP-100, saw it in action and it works great. Next step was solutions and what you posted hit the spot buddy, thank you for sharing.
One thing I need to look into more is cleaning and that anti foam stuff. Some people say you dont need the anti foam if you get good chemicals, some say you do.

picked this up today: DurrMaid carpet extractor I plan on using just water in this machine but to prep bad carpets I will go with Adam's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner spritz the area and then extract the dirt from the carpet. I have 10 cars on Sunday so let's see how this baby will perform.
10 cars dam!!!! Look forward to your thoughts on the machine Phil :thumb:....oh and pictures of the vehicles too
