Nope, no issues with the Metabo so far...I've been using them quite a bit so no overheating so far. If I do get over heating I'll let you guys know eace:

Just to clarify the 4" pads I have are 4" Flat made also my Lake Country but are not Sonus branded.

 

I thought Sonus pads WERE made by LCC?
So you're saying that the 4 inchers are identical to the ones I can guy right now at AG/DD? (soft foam)

 

LC does make Sonus pads. I think Sonus just changed the foam and it is no longer available.
I have the 4" ers that Chris has and I don't think that they are the same. I could be wrong, but the foam feels different.:support:

Speaking only as a novice , I tried the Sonus white and blue pads I got from Chris yesterday with Menz IP and Micro polish and I was incredably impressed. I had only tried the 6.5" CCS pads and the 6" white pad that comes with the UDM previously. I like the denser Sonus pads much better. Im sure at some point I will regret not getting more while available and at the price.

I am not 100% sure on that, ask Chris he will know. The 4" pads feel dryer and seem to have less cushion than the 6" pads. I am now using sonus pads on every machine i have. They are pretty strong and the foam is really good. I just wish they were a bit easier to center on the dewalt.

 

Lake Country does make Sonus along with many others but they are made to order. Sonus 4" pads may be different than our 4" Lake Country pads.
