Well as I start getting more and more into cars I am starting to mod my car. I know some of you may not like what I'm doing with the car and I totally understand, different strokes for different folks. I'm only 18 and don't know too much about cars in general so working with my car should be a good fun learning experience. I still need to give the car a good polish, I am thinking over Christmas break along with my dads new Alfa. To be honest I like the wheels but they are just too big for the car. The ride is too harsh. I am looking to sell them and get other wheels (Racing Dynamics RD2) for a better ride. When I switch out the wheels I plan on installing new springs and shocks (I already have the shocks) for a more aggressive look:headbang:. I will be constantly updating this thread after every new mod, hopefully you don't mind! Erik
I know what you mean. I swapped wheels. Went to a larger wheel and the tires had less side wall. The ride is noticeably rougher. Good luck with the car man!! Be sure to get that caster/camber checked!
A quick update.. Some of you may know I hit a pothole and bent my front drivers side rim along with blowing the tire. Well when I was talking with the guy who is going to re-straighten my wheels he said that he could powdercoat(?) them black with about a 20% gloss. I immediately fell in love. Pics to come in a couple weeks!
It is a very nice looking car and even if you didn't change the color of the wheels. Those are pissa looking. I think...:thumb:
I should have the wheels back within a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if I'm going to put the wheels on right away. I'm thinking I'm going to get the shocks and springs first then switch those out while I am putting the wheels back on.
Black with about a 20% gloss. Shadowline is taking the chrome trim around the windows and painting it black.
If possible could someone please give me a quick photoshop picture of my car with the wheels a semi gloss black? I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!
