actually I watched someone break into a bimmer with a dell laptop and some sort of key device. I imagine it isn't too easy though. I am sure if a pro wanted to steal your car you have no chance. I am getting a club on my accord. I think it makes the amatures reconsider stealing it, but it doesn't even slow down the pros. I am more scared of people breaking into my home than my car. It is really easy to break into a house
I couldnt agree with you more on this. The car I am talking about, the honda, the circumstances it was stolen under are rediculous. It had the ECU taken OUT of the car, and it had a boot on one of the wheels. When a thief wants your car, he will get it if he wants it bad enough. Another good tip. If you cant find it and the car is fairly new, your dealer can help you out getting it. It may or may not require a trip there. It should be in your new car ownership information.
One of my clients in Vancouver had his WS6 TOWED AWAY IN THE AFTERNOON The just popped it into a truck. There were a bunch of witnesses too...but no one bothered to take down the plate because it looked like a broken down car.
Yea I too agree, if someone wants to breake in to your car/house (what ever) bad enough they will find a way...sad but so true. But your right Pro's usually go for big ticket items, you know make it worth there time so any little bit to keep those amatures away will help :thumb:
our TOTALLY stock 03 millenium yellow vette laid down 330 whp and 338 tq. My dads friend who had the exact car, except black laid down 311whp and 322 tq. Saying that parasitic loss is at around 15%(this is even on the low side) that puts our vette at 379 fly hp(rated 350) and 388 tq...vs 357 fly hp and 370.3 tq. The differences were two things, one my dads friend let his wife drive it for the first2k kms...shenever took it over3500rpm....whereas when we got ours, within the first 10 miles of ownership she'd been well tested out. I took it to the strip and proceeded to keep up with a z06 driven by an older man who 'babied' his as well. People called that car a factory freak, and said I may have had a little experiance behind the wheel....I think it was all in the break in
dontsleeponit - that must've been a monster. I would imagine endless burn outs lol. Yeah house break ins can be so easy, just break the window! It's so scary. When I think about it, we're just surrounded by walls that can be easily broken down... I've also seen that thing called "key bumping" or whatever. THAT scared me...they enter EFFORTLESSLY!
That's the reason why I keep thinking about that break in technique I posted up...plus the advantage of seating the rings. Thanks for the info, I'm a big believer and now I have a back up to tell my friends if they're ever curious .
Yea try detailing when it's like -20C water lines are all frozen, so I've had to haul buckets to detail that truck I got in my garage. Nice thing is that the owner left the vehicle with me to take care for her. I'll be finishing it later on today and I'll be posting it shortly but I just realized I need a bigger heater :cold: it's cold in the garage
my nails are still purple just from carrying my parents luggage in from the truck....damned cold calgary!!! Oh btw Carlos, I found a heater for you at Princess auto. You'd stay nice and toasty with that puppy
Oooh do tell..Princess Auto huh..which one? Let me know becuase I really need one in my garage :cold:
The new one down south here...I couldn't stop myself from going in to see what they had. They have an isle with 4 different heaters in it. Ones a little baby thing for camping, hook a propane bottle up to it, the other 3 are different sizes but very much like what you would see on a home construction site. 200 bucks was the most expensive one if my memeory serves me correctly.
Oh but are these heaters propane powered? If so I don't know if I wan to use those in my garage, they let off alot of moisture in the garage...don't get me wrong they work great but I'm thinking of just getting a good nice gas heater or even those long tube ones..can't remember what they are called..radials? Something like that but those still require gas. It wont be cheap but well worth it come winter time, I want to be able to wak around in shorts during a blizzar storm inside my garage :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
Yes that's the name :applause2: I'm looking at some of those, those things are wicked and are supper hot :headbang: :headbang:
