I picked this up a couple of weeks ago from Detailers Domain after washing my Allroad (cobalt blue) the previous week. It had a bunch of nasty salt, chemicals, etc. on it from a recent snow we had here in St. Louis. No matter how much I pre-rinsed and how gently I washed with the wash mitt, I introduced some swirls on my paint.

So, I was looking for something to help pre-clean the paint when washing. I thought I'd order some during the 1z sale Phil had going on and give it a shot.

Also, big thanks to Tonya for setting up this template!!!

    Product Name
    Einszett Anti-Insekt + Pre-Cleaner

    Price
    $10 from detailersdomain.com

    Size
16.9 fl oz in a spray bottle

    Amount used during application
    Half the damn bottle!!!

    Dilution ratios
    TBD...dunno

    Label appearance
Typical 1z packaging in their 16.9 fl oz bottles.

    Directions or Application process
Very clear directions on back of bottle. Could use a little more info on exactly how much to spray on though.

    Ease of use
Extremely easy and quick to use. Spray on and hose off per instructions. Let sit for 3 min after spraying on. Directions mentioned that you can do some light scrubbing with a towel, but didn't want to risk it with all the nasty road grime on my car from the recent snow/ice here in St. Louis

    Smell / Scent
    Nothing really to note.

    Consistency
When spraying on all panels (even vertical) it seemed to stay relateively put, which is a good thing. Seemed to get nice even spray amounts coming out of the bottle.

    Cleaning Ability
On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it about a 7 or 8. It did help lift a lot of extra grime off my car after a heavy rinsing from hose.

    Lubricity
    Not really applicable I think.

    Suds
Reminds me a lot of P21s Total Auto Wash. Seems like car wash suds in a spray bottle. Although I think the bubles on car were bigger than TAW. Not sure if that really means anything though.

    PH
Don't know, but directions state that it will not strip wax off the car. I believe this to be true as you can see in the pics. I did not notice any significant degradation in beading after using the pre-cleaner.

    Appearance PICS would be great!
Some pics of the before grime built up on my car:

    And you get this:

I noticed zero loss in existing protection, which was 2 coats of Menzerna FMJ back in December I believe. It's been topped once or twice with DG AquaWax in between however.

Here's the car then after washing with Prima Mystique:

Thought I'd throw a few bonus pics in to plug P21s Wheel Cleaner Gel and my $3 Kmart Mr. Clean brush

    After:

What you see back in the wheel is some water that was still running off. Most of the dirt and brake dust were removed from the P21s and Mr. Clean brush. Also, should be noted that I used a boar's hair wheel brush on the wheel face.

    Durability
    N/A

    Pros
Spray on, hose off, and works as described. Helped remove a lot of nasty stuff built up on the paint from the St. Louis winter including salt, chemicals and just general nasty crap. Works quick as you can hose off in 3 minutes.

    Cons
May just be me, but sure did seem to use a lot and at $10/bottle, this could get expensive!!! On the other hand, if you only have to do this a few times during the winter it may be no biggie. I guess using a foam gun might get you there as well which would be cheaper in the long run.

    Overall Comments
Rating 1-5 (5 being the best) - 4.5 Losing .5 for having to use so much, but this might be more of a user issue than a product issue.

Nice review! I have used this stuff too. I just use too much of it for one application...

great review...if you are looking for a cheaper alternative try meguiars body solvent or CG new car body solvent (not listed on the website..something you have to ask for) ...they are both awesome pre-wash treatments...only downside is both strip whatever lsp you have on the car...

Well, I used this stuff again on my '04 Audi Allroad which is cobalt blue, and sure enough, that was the end of this bottle. So, basically got 2 cars out of it. Granted, I did a top to bottom spray down using this stuff. I think I'm going to look into the foam gun as a long-term solution.
