No you don't need lime prime. I've used both RBs over DG 501 which cleans the paint like lime prime would. Wouldn't hurt but you don't need it.

And Dust I think if you preheat the pad first you will see that you get the oils in the wax going a lot better than just rubbing it. Just my opinion though.

 

Oh I'm sure... I'm not knocking your way. Either that or I can just set it out in the Texas sun for 5 minutes and it'll work just the same!

 

Just don't hold it in front of a small torpedo heater. Did that this winter to try and heat up a foam applicator quicker and the bastage went up in flames...rather quickly too. If I hadn't felt so stupid it would probably been pretty impressive, LOL.

Ah, eureka. haha. good deal. I hope soon i will be able to compare and contrast the two! Just out of curiosity, what is your experience in chemistry and such? I am wondering if i can possibly try to fool around with a few solvents and carnauba and such and try to see if i can come up with something i can call my own. I am also taking chemistry this year in school and it would be a neat little project.

I did that one time in the VA sun (not that strong) and forgot about it... came back 3 hours later (after forgetting about it) and it was like liquidy. I thought it was quite cool actually. haha

The top layer will probably be slightly softened because it's been used. Go down a bit further and it will be harder and denser. But it isn't that hard once you get some heat or friction in and the oils start flowing.

 

This time last year, none at all. It was case of reading, learning and experimenting.

 

I really like rubbish boys OE! It pops metallic like crazy and looks very good

 

Rubbish Boy's OE is a very impressive wax, its just a little different that most that i've tried (application wise). Sure there maybe more in the application process but the end result is one that you're sure to be happy with.

I first tried OE at a friends garage. No hair-dryer so I spread the wax on the applicator with a credit card and then proceeded to heat it up with my lamps. Believe me, it will smoke if you're not careful. Applied to the whole car and waited a little while and took it off.

It was probably the deepest my paint has ever been. I didnt want it to go away. I think I qd'd the car every couple hours! hehehe
