Do you use iron-removing wheel cleaners?

I'll second you on that latter statement. Scrubbing's no fun.

But as for having to scrub with all wheel cleaners...not necessarily.
Should you? Yes... But there are some (rather powerful) cleaners
out there that you can use in conjunction with a pressure washer
to remove 99% of buildup without scrubbing (this is excluding the
back of the wheel's face, of course).

I wouldn't recommend using those if it can be avoided though.
I quit using WB a while back for the same health reasons mentioned
above. Not to mention the potential for wheel damage.

For what its worth...I should probably mention that that Wolfs works
decently well as a spray-on-spray-off product. May not get everything
every time, but I've played around with it a good bit and I've seen it do
impressive things. Its just too pricey for me to justify using it on every car.

As far as Power Clean goes...IME it will cut through your normal build
up as good as anything. And its a lot safer than some of the stronger
cleaners out there. I use it regularly on BMW and Merc wheels and
have found it works quite well with minimal agitation. May not be the
answer for everyone, but for me it works great!

In today's forum driven market that is an AntiChrist type of statement..

    That I agree with completely.

IIRC, the main active ingredient is Ammonium Bifluoride. Hazard Rating of 3 ... you need to wear gloves and a respirator with this product. Like I said before, I only use it if nothing else works.

Meg's has some great products. It just gets a bad rap because of their OTC line (which is not bad).

For those of you that reserve ironx or sonax fe for high end cars, what price range of car do you consider high end. What price range does your high end start at?

    Sent directly from my brain.

    Anything that I can't afford ... lmao.

Seriously ... I only use Sonax/Iron X for vehicles with nasty brake dust (BMW's, MB's, STI's for example). I also use it on any vehicle with Brembo/High End brake systems.

Yikes. Thanks for the info. I didn't realize Meg's had anything but OTC stuff.

I agree with D300 and 105. Haven't tried 151 but have heard lots of good things about it. I didn't like the glass cleaner at all except for the smell. Yummy. Will have to try WB and Hyper dressing. Is Hyper Dressing shiny?

Really? D120 is probably the best all-around glass cleaner I've found. What didn't you like about it?

And HyperDressing's looks all depend on the dilution. I keep it at 3:1, and it's not too shiny at all.

Hyper Dressing can be diluted to your liking ... that's why I like it. It's really cost effective. Are there better dressings out there? yes, but it works great for the price.

Ken ... I want to try your Exclusive APC whenever you open the store. What kind of sizes will you be carrying?

It does work, but not as well as what I have. It doesn't seem to cut through crud very easily. Just my 2 cents.

Gallons for sure and I'm leaning towards 22oz for the retail size.

I use soap and water. My cars get washed often enough that there is no heavy build up of brake dust. Maybe a little APC if dirt is a little stubborn

When it's real dirty I use:
Sonax (this was almost all I used until I had an issue with zinc costing on a set of rotors)
I use P21s gel when I see the rotors are coated now and I think it works just as good as Sonax

    I'm not telling. Yet. Mawahahahahaha!!

Sometimes, yes. But I do have a dedicated glass cleaner as well.
