Looking up into my closet, I realized I'm a bit of a glutton in terms of buying detailing products. I feel like I have WAY too many LSP's, and it stings even more in comparison to the other products I should have. I'd definitely like to dump a lot of my LSPs and stick with 3-4 with a couple priming products like JW Prime, AG SRP, DG 105, etc. I think one of the biggest issues is that with my current setup I just have too much stuff. I should have a few gallons of APC, a couple liters of wheel cleaner, a few gallons of soap, and a very limited quanitity of other things. It's near impossible to blow through LSPs, especially when you don't do it full time. I definitely need to rethink my strategy for 2011, probably selling a good amount of my stuff for cheap and upgrading microfibers and my storage. I feel like I'm wasting a lot of product on my shelves. What are you guilty of?
I have gallons n gallons of ONR, powerclean, car wax, interior protectant, OID, n tire bond gel.......I have way too many spray bottles!! n towels...I sold most of my waxes, but I still have too many.
I feel the same way too. I'll be selling more stuff soon. I just need to organize the new garage. There's only three things that I would like to buy. 1. Meg's Microfiber System 2. Used Pressure Washer 3. Used Steam Cleaner Besides that ... I got everything covered.
I od'ed on Menzerna products ... I too need a new strategy of 2011... I'm addicted to carnuba wax and sealants...
I realized I have too much soap and too many LSPs a little while ago...so, I just stop purchasing those, and use up what I have...
It's unreal how many things I've collected over the years. I should line them all up this weekend and take a few pictures.
I definitely need more spray bottles, I don't have nearly enough and it makes me look sloppy. I might be buying a new shelving unit. I might redo all of my microfibers, not sure yet.
im at that point as well, i finally found what worked for me and what does not. I don't need any more LSPs, or polishes. Ive concentrated on prep products like shampoos, APC, etc. I only buy (try too) in bulk, and Ive stayed away from products that just won't really serve me; trying to stick with basics....
Sounds like myself,Ive been in the gig for 20 years and if I had a dime for every dollar I spent on crap I wouldnt ever.......eh scratch that thought, I'd still detail.My 2 vehicles isnt enough to curb my problem.LOL I have never been a carnuba hoarder too bad,but the car soaps for some reason have taken over!!!
Same here. Except I found my favor line or polish/LSP fairly early (Thanks to people recommending products, lol) Now I've got it down to M105/Prima Swirl/Menz PO85RD for polishes; Menz PL and Vic's waxes for LSP. I just use whatever soap/APC that's cheap, oh and ONR.
I just give all my rejects to the girl accross the street, she cleans her own car and is a college student so im sure she does not have all the money in the world to go out and buy everything. Im just happy she asks for advice, and actually listens. I think I have too many APCs right now;trying to thin out the herd.
