Detailing Odds and Ends you just CANT work without

Another for the list: the Griot's Garage Ultimate Wash Bucket. Man, I freaking love that thing. Everything Griot's says about it is true:

- Large, comfy, sturdy handle
- Large casters for wheeling it around
- Built in grit guard and upper shelf for your sponge, brushes, clay, etc...
- Tight fitting lid makes it useful for transporting items to a remote location

$40 is a lot to pay for a bucket. And I'd do it again in a hearbeat.

 

I agree with Karl on the shure's. I've got a pair. Not only are they noise isolating so it's like waering earplugs--but they play music too!

Also, my mechanics and office chair like spyral has. Lowest setting.. 'cause buffing on the ground sucks , also for wheels

Brinkman. I've forgotten extension cords on a couple of occasions for my halogens when detailing mobile, and the brinkman makes it so I can polish without lugging them around.

 

Last weekend I worked on a car for my aunt while she was in town. Rather than use the Shures, I turned the ignition to Acc. and listened to the radio. Later that day, I had to jump start the freaking thing off my F250. :thud:

 

Two things that I literally couldn't detail without. I can't keep track of how many toothpicks I go through on a detail (especially on a dirty interior).

 

A couple of more unconventional detail tools I had to use this week:

Hemostats~ To remove a nickel that was wedged in seat track

Fishin Line~ To Debadge a car

 

I agree. Nothing sucks more than dried up polish in those caps!

 

1/2" Foam Paint Brushes., for cleaning/conditioning air vents and seat tracks/ lug nuts & holes. :cig:
