Detailing in the Winter?

Radiant floor heat is the best! Even in the driveway so snow doesnt stick.

 

It almost makes it too hot? You're killing me!:thud:LOL

 

Wont it eat you up with a heavy electricity bill??:shead:

 

I get annoyed when it starts getting cold outside, even though I really cannot complain here in Texas. It makes you NOT want to detail your car whatsoever!!!

Sounds very interesting that a wash system can do that. For some mentioned you would need clay to clean. Is this a annual system or pre winter. If you feel like could you tell me more please. Thank you...:thumb:

O-kay, I should have known that. It's in my favorites...

 

First thing I do is turn the garage thermostat up to about 68-70. :headbang: Wait a bit for it to get up to temperature. Then I do an ONR wash. Every so often I'll run through a touchless was to get the under carriage.

My next garage will have trench drains for sure. Then I can do a real wash.

 

Fortunately for me i do have a heated garage! Detailing should still be in the works

 

Winter is just a theory where I live. opcorn:

 

When it's really cold out, I use warm (not "hot") water in both buckets. That helps. Then, the moment the car is clean, it goes into the garage. Mine's not heated, but I do have a Reddy Heater (one of those jet engine looking, propane powered things) that helps a lot.

Basically, I just try and minimize the amount of time I spend outside of the garage when it's cold out.
